Prosper202 - Solution or Additional Problem ?

I'm what you would consider a beginner in CPA field. So, I will really appreciate if you guys spend a little time to discuss with me about this.

Recent Days I spend my time playing with prosper202, trying to make myself comfortable with tracking my campaign later.

Overall I really like it since I like to keep things organized, and prosper202 deliver it really well. It really is a good tracking tool.

However, Like any other tools made, I find issues which make me wondering whether it can help me increase campaign profit or on the contrary make me losing the money :

- I test the link serving by prosper202 and I find out it needs to go through some long journey just to get to the LP. The redirection and cloaking slow it down. Logically , no one like to wait longer for a page to load. (and it makes me thing to just use SubID for all the tracking)

- I also test the link serving with some browsers. There are no problem with mozilla and IE. But in chrome , when I go to the url provided by prosper202, it shows some "you're automatically being redirected to bla bla bla bla" --> than to "Page stuck? click here" --> and finally reach LP. If you're the prospect, will you wait the LP to load?

I don't know how big the impact to the profit/loss thing caused by those two issues above. I know majority of you are experienced with prosper202 so what do you think about these? Did it make you losing money? Or do you even compare your profit with the one with prosper202 with the one with SubId only?

Are prosper202 worthed ?

Please share your experience. I believe It will greatly help me

Thank You,
Ferry
PS : I try my hardest to use proper english so please understand if there are some grammar and vocabulary mistakes ;p

You are going to be leaving money on the table if you can't accurately track your clicks on your end rather than leaving it up to the affiliate network you're sending the traffic to.

Apart from anything else, you need to be able to count clicks on your end, server side, in order to get an accurate idea about conversion ratios between different networks and offers - because all networks track clicks slightly differently. You can't leave it up to them to give you an accurate click count. Even if they're not shaving leads or conversions, many, many networks shave clicks to make it look like their conversions are better than they actually are.
So do you mean using just SubId from network to track our campaign isn't too reliable. We need our own tracking server for comparation. Nice input because this is the first time I hear it might be a case where network try to manipulate conversion/click data to look good.

When you say other tracking software, do you mean bevo media? May I know what do you use?

      btw, thanks waddle

I use Prosper202 with most of my campaigns, but I admit that, sometimes, it slows down the loading time. Using only subIDs is ok with some platforms (I do it most of the times with FB, for example), but others will require a tracking software.

However, this is just my opinion. A few weeks ago I saw a thread where some people said that they don't use P202 or any other similar software, just subIDs. I myself don't do that, but they do with great success, so it's certainly possible.

      that's glad to know

about the slowing down issue, from both your personal opinion and experience on CPA, do you believe it somehow hurt your conversion rate?

I think it is an interesting point to know. If most of internet surfer are okay with longer waiting time, then it makes sense why most internet marketer are still sticking to prosper202 for their campaign.

If it's very slow, then, yes, it will certainly damage your conversions. But it isn't very slow for me.

Here is a Good News I got yesterday.

Want to know what makes the New Tracking202 so much better?
There's a lot to talk about, so let's start with some highlights:

Unparalleled Flexibility - Track everything in ways not yet available on any of the tracking systems in the market.
Lightning Fast Redirects - We all know slow redirects cost you money and conversions, so we've optimized the new Tracking202 to serve up redirects in the blink of an eye
Fully Open and Expandable - We built this from the ground up to allow you to modify and customize the software via the powerful API we expose
Enhanced Workflow - You shouldn't have to spend hours setting up your links, and with our new enhanced workflow, you won't have to. We're talking bulk uploads and automation galore!
There's more to share - Like the new robust offer rotator, impression pixels, path analysis, enhanced reporting, tons more data points tracked so you can slice and dice things just the way you like it, and the list goes on!

I think the developer are very aware of slow redirection. It's excited to see how much improvement for tracking202 2.0

If your having slow redirect speeds, have you checked with your webhost to see how long other pages load?

No I haven't. Actually my webhost is fine. It isn't really slow. It just slowing it down compare with link serving without prosper202 redirection.

But your input is appreciated since I have read many people experiencing something worse than me because their webhost doesn't support this tracking tool very well
