PPC, CPA and Google Slap

Hi everyone,

I was watching one PPC video course and they mentioned about the Google Slap thing. Based on what i understand, recently google is more into closing down PPC accounts for people who promote shady cpa offers via landing pages or even affiliate sites (mini sites, review sites). Shady cpa offers like previously **** and google cash .. but i am not too sure about offers like iphone 4, dell zip submits.. whether these are affected or not?

So if google is doing this, wouldn't that affect the cpa network and many publishers?

How can publisher like us still able to use PPC and still able to promote cpa offers like zip submits without being affected by Google?

Like to do it right as it will benefit me and the cpa network for long run.

any tips? Thanks.

Google is definitely very touchy, they have been for a while it seems. I've been getting pretty good traffic with AdCenter. I know it's not Google, but I've been able to even direct link to survey type zip submit offers with no issues. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but I've had no problems in that regard. I haven't done it a lot as it simply wasn't profitible.

Which brings me to my next point, how are you promoting these? Are you doing polls, direct linking, simple single page landing page, etc? Google isn't a big fan of Polls, and in fact, I wouldn't do them there, but AdCenter is a good place for that.

There are some offers that are allowed by Google, but it's hard to promote email/zip submits and free trials there.

If you want to promote rebills with AdWords the best you can do is take the opt-in route. Build landing pages with opt-in forms and use autoresponder series to promote the offers. It works for me on both search and content network. Just make sure that you have a real site with several content pages, and not just a single HTML page.

In truth, its very hard to push CPA offers in Adwords search unless you are good enough to get a good quality score in order to drive your costs down to make up for the loss of conversion by effectively pleasing Google.

I am afraid that it is extremely difficult to prmoote a simple submit on Google for the long run...if by long run you mean having the campaigns up for many months/years.

I would stick with the second tier networks and PPC platforms at first if I were you!
