Instead, You want to set-up a landing page with an opt-in form to your specific auto-responder like aweber or getresponse.

I don't know your details obviously, but why not write an eBook or report which lays out the best tactics of using the product, or something closely related to your product's purpose, and give it away FREE instead?

Make the landing page promote your free report or eBook, and include in that eBook a "Special Exclusive Discount Coupon to [PRODUCT NAME] Available Nowhere Else But Here" Then in the eBook or report, go to Google images or free clipart and find a graphic of a coupon, if you know how to do basic graphics editing (i.e. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or even online graphic app) then customize the coupon to make it look like a graphical coupon to your product.

Then link that graphic using your coupon discount code if you have one (some Clickbank marketers have different tiers of discount the affiliate (you) is allowed to charge a range of prices. With them you can choose how much of a discount to go with.

Paste that coupon graphic somewhere in your free report or eBook, as well as on the landing page (to further entice subscribers to a) join your email list b) read report and is interested c) buy product).

Why do it this way? Well, the last time I checked, email marketing is by far the most effective direct marketing tool, returning the best conversion rates. You want to move interested subscribers into your sales funnel, where you no longer have to depend on a landing page to close the sale. Email is way more direct, personal, and opens up the door for the close without the reader becoming distracted by countless other factors when they read your copy on a web page.
