I foolishly set all my bids at 30c a click - i thought it would bid 1 penny above the last highest bid - but it bid's 30c a click on everything.

The bid prices is irrelevant- from the 100 clicks i paid for, the traffic sources were total rubbish.

Well, I did get a few conversions from 7search.

But overall, haven't been able to achieve a positive ROI
from any campaign so far.

I guess making 7search work requires a lot of optimizing
and removing the bad traffic sources, etc.

I haven't tried 7search so far , but I have read mixed responses about 7search . Some of them say good things about 7search and the vast majority have bad experience with it .

One thing that you nee to know is that ...most PPC systems need lots of testing , tracking and optimization until you get winning campaign .

And...

For those of you who blindly test 7search , please check the following article for some tips ..

Hey,

Looks like a nice article.

But I think in addition to all that, you also have to
track the referrers and weed out the non-converting ones.

And sometimes, the converting referrers send very little
traffic and the non-converting ones send most of the traffic.

I disagree with the statement of this thread, I think you have to learn the system and do proper testing (emphasize proper) throwing a bunch of keywords and putting an ad, is not proper testing. I see a lot of posts trashing different ppv, ppc channels that I had really good experience with. true, there are some junk sources out there, but as far as my experience goes, 7 search is not one of them and I'm far from being a guru or super affiliate.

I've advertised quite a bit on 7 search and have to say that the conversions have in general been quite good especially in comparison to some others which I have tried and tested. Like anything it's test test test until it works. Great article by the way

They have suspended my account right after my 2nd deposit with paypal without any reason. I was running same campaigns that I always had. weird!

I've seen several threads about 7search here lately and it seems that the results vary. Some people like them, some people don't.

However, many people report earnings and conversions, so I assume it's possible to get profitable with them. Maybe the quality of their traffic is lower, but the price is also much lower in comparison with the major traffic sources out there, and it may offer you a compensation.

I don't work with 7search, but I can't remember of a traffic source that made money right from the beginning, all of them require testing. So you may want to give 7search one more shot, since that was just your first attempt.

So far , in this post , I have learned that people have mixed responses about 7search .

so , before you give your conclusion , spend some time and money to test it , just like any other PPC system.

Make also sure that you can't judge the profitability of any PPC system by sending 100 or 200 clicks .

Just because some do not do so well at PPC does not make it 7searchs fault. Granted there traffic is not the best i seen but its still Targeted Traffic, Even if its a parked or expired domain and they use the Search box there, Well doesn't that mean the person is interested in what he/she is searching for.

I personally Have no complaints as i always done Okay or broke even, The only time i paid more then i made is when i ran a email submit.

Latest campaign: CreditReport.com which requires a credit card and I ran it two days both days depositing $50.00

Results for them 2 days were 216 clicks, 6 Leads, $174 earning. So i profited $74 bucks, This was just thrown up there and left too run with one Keyword (Free Credit report). I am sure if i actually new more about ppc and Split tested it with other variations and was more creative with my ad copy i could of probably have done a little better.

Final conclusion i will Spend $100 to Make $174 all day long. Also regardless if a person types in a search box on google or a Expired domain i assure you that person is typing in something he/she is interested in which means Targeted traffic period.

Like someone else said results varies. I am willing to bet the ones who make a profit have nice things to say and the ones who have a loss think they suck. If this is the case i have tried Facebook several times and have always had a loss with them and yes like you i sit back and say Facebook Sucks, But i bet the people making $100+ a day with facebook would call me a fool

The biggest issue I've seen with everyone who tries 7search is they treat it like Adwords.

They bid about 3,000% too high on everything and don't follow any strategy whatsoever.

I've had campaigns pulling over 500% roi on it. It's possible.

It's not garbage traffic but if you're doing it wrong, you're going to fail.

The issue is we try something and it does not work then we react emotionally through frustration. We never look at the data we gathered and analyze & see what it is we need to get in the black with any campaign.
1. Are you tracking every single keyword using the ###KEYWORD### tag ?
2. Are you tracking domains were you traffic is coming from as well ..ask you 7search rep?
3.Are you using any tracking software e.g prosper202, bevomedia
4.Have you tested cost-per-sale offers v lead gen v email zip submit offers?
5. Do you understand how to fully utilize the platform you are using to send traffic..7search?
6.Ask yourself how come others are making it work where am I getting it wrong then you can learn instead of just over-reacting and calling it useless traffic, without extensive testing.

7Search is not useless, just challenging to use profitably. I ran a orderly campaign there last year that was moderately successful. Other campaigns completely nose dived. The ones that work are extremely targeted towards tech and dating. Everything else is a no go.

Am trying 7search right now...

the biggest issue I have is that I am told the traffic was sent , but I cannot see it...

GA does not show it and neither does Statcounter (not to mention aweber or ejunkie)...

So I am not sure if I receive any real traffic at all??

This is what i got from Gauher; you need to send 7search a mail tell them that I would like to have the ability to block sub-ids and domains in my account BY CAMPAIGN LEVEL. This will make you to block some sub ids that you feel are fictitous or unreal.

Run the campaign and watch your results
Run reports to find and add any negative keywords
Drop poor keywords to phrase or exact match
Use day parting if you can
Block any crappy partners or domains
Add more keywords
Rinse and repeat with more campaigns

The fact I am telling you to add negatives, drop poor performers, block ****ty domains should tell you that 7Search is a beast but it's a profitable one.

I have used 7search and had about 1100 lost cost clicks spread over 4 different offers. From this a very low conversion rate.

I am not an very experienced with PPC so i agree that my techniques may not have been top notch but my results were very disappointing.

I lean away rather than towards 7search. I did also try to speak with them to see if they could offer any sort of help or advice and got no response.

I love PPC. However, I do not love 7search for what I do. For what I do, the traffic is absolute garbage.

I think it depends on what you're wanting to drive traffic to. There are so many variables. I always like to test with 1,000 clicks before counting something out, I'd suggest you all do the same!

OK guys, All I can say is

It totally depends on on how you monetize and make your campaigns.... If your niche, campaign or anything related to it is not right and you aren't making money from this then you cant blame 7search alone, Its your fault too.

If you make a poor landing page and use Adwords and get no conversion.... Then what will you say to your friends ??

" Hey Bud, Dont try Adwords. They are BAD. Their traffic is poor ! "

This is not how things are done in PPC/PPV traffic..

If you are using CPA or anything, Then you should know that using PPC/PPV requires TESTING+ TRACKING

You cant make any campaign and dream that now it will make you thousands of dollars lol

It requires you to put your efforts as well as testing. If one of your campaigns went successful on adwords, You cant be sure that another one will be a hit too
