How Cash Much for Testing

Want to find out what others are doing as far as spending when they test offers? I currently spend $100 per offer, if I convert then I will scale it and if the conversions are lacking I will cut it off. Am I spending to much or not enough? Any input on what kind of cash I should be dropping on an offer before calling it quits or any formula I should be using?

    I don't think there is a universal "hard and fast" rule for how much to spend on testing. For me, I budget to spend about the amount of the payout for the testing. So if the payout is $35, I'll spend about $35 to test.

    My logic is that if the offer can't break even by $35, it won't convert well enough.

      Great way to operate, I do the same except on lower paying offers, say it pays 5 dollars, I will spend $10-$15 on multiple sources to initially test the water.

    Honestly, for me it really depends on the traffic source, if im using a lander or dl, the offer (obviously), etc..

    what traffic source do you have in mind?

      Traffic source is Facebook and MSN/Yahoo using both landers and direct linking.

    There are no hard rules that I follow .

    But , on most occasions , I spend $20 for testing ( not always ).

    There are times that I spend hundreds for testing , if the campaign looks promising .
