Facebook Ad Acceptance?

Facebook doesn't allow direct linking or redirects, so are LPR's the only alternative? I tried even dating and gaming offers on Facebook (direct link and cloaking the URL) with both ads denied. Any suggestions?

I have an approved ad with Facebook, its a redirect.. (granted it isnt doing anything as far as conversions go)

So whoever said it wasnt allowed was misinformed.

Direct linking work on Facebook. You need to write a creative ad that allows with FB TOS. When they reject an ad, they tell reasons. So check it and resubmit.

"The destination URL of your ad either violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines or could not be reviewed. Before resubmitting it, please visit our Help Center for additional information and examples compliant with our Advertising Guidelines."

I used a cloaked link (http://mydomain.com/offer) but still nothing AND it was a dating offer.

have you tried building landing pages instead of just redirecting? The offer might be in a different country and may not show up for the approval team

    ^ Thats correct.

Even though you are targeting users from USA, that URL must be accessible to all countries since FB will check it from several different locations around the world when they go to review it.

As others have said, direct linking absolutley works. That rejection reason means either the destination (offer) is indeed not acceptable OR (very likely) the approvers cannot review it/it doesn't match what you say it is.

I make it a rule to ALWAYS redirect when direct linking as I can control the campaign in the long run, and rotate offers later to keep things profitible. This is especially important when direct-linking international offers. Geotargeting scripts are hugely helpful here.

How about you just create your OWN landing page and put your offers in there? Gives you much more control and facebook likes it a helluva lot better!

You can still get direct linking campaigns through, just need to do a redirect. But it's often better to actually have a landing page to presell them

Hey I got 2 ads refused and one of the reasons it said it could be a fraud website and tell to check mywot.com , which I did to find out maxbounty had a scam reputation there, of course some marketers posted that it's not but I was wondering .. what the big players here think about that.

  • They don't really care. I brought this up a few days ago on a new thread and it got deleted in 30 minutes.

I made the mistake of pointing to many of the WF big hitters web sites that are rated scams and malicious etc.

Here is a couple of them.

williecrawford.com | WOT Reputation Scorecard | WOT (Web of Trust)

    http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/pluginprofitsite.com

You would think they would want to do something about it. FB subscribes to WOT. Google will be next.
