CPA For Dummies

The title of this post might be misleading because I am the mentioned dummy. I have been in the Internet Marketing world for a little over a year now. I make most of my IM money from online sportsbooks and a little coming from AdSense websites totaling around 200-500/mo. The sportsbook niche seems to be fading out as most popular ones are no longer accepting US customers so I'm looking for something else.

Browsing these forums I've always heard CPA's mentioned many times as easy ways to make money but since I was already focused on another area of IM, I never payed much attention to it. I currently have two PR1 Sportsbook related sites, one PR2 Outdoor/Landscaping site and a few micro-niche PR0's that get minimal traffic.

I am looking for a guide of sorts to help me get started in the CPA realm. Not necessarily a one-on-one tutor but more of a group discussion. What advice do you have for people like me who have never looked into CPA internet marketing? What would you guys who are already in the field do if you had to start all over from scratch?

Thanks in advance for any starting advice. I encourage a group discussion so this can help everyone but if you want to send a message, that is fine too. I am always open for partnership ideas.

    You can make a living with CPA, But its not that easy. You will need to read and learn, All the info provided in this forum.

    Start by reading some CPA networks approval guides if you still not an affiliate in any CPA network. Then focus on monetizing your websites with some CPA offers before jumping to paid traffic.

    Search for 'get approved kenster' and read Kensters thread about being approved to CPA networks first. Then you will need to either peruse the forum for a while finding some golden nuggets or find some good wsos to start with that offer a newbie friendly step by step system. I would suggest starting with free methods such as Youtube Marketing, maybe some Offline stuff to get started and gain some money to put into other paid marketing like PPV. But I would suggest you take a while to really LEARN ppv and other paid traffic before you jump into it. You can make a living off of Youtube, SEO, Offline, FB and twitter. It is all about creativity, persistance and testing. Creativity is one of the biggest. Always try to bend the rules and try to put your own personal ideas/twists into methods you learn. Never be a strictly copy and paste kind of CPA newbie. Learn, adapt, TAKE ACTION on any WSO or other guides you come into and you will succeed.

    Yes the best advice is to be persistent and take action, don't just read books, take at the beginning only one traffic source and try to learn it as much as you can, and for sure money will start easy easy to come.

    Hello.
    This might sound silly but, I got approved on a couple of CPA Network (Max Bounty and Peerfly) to be precise, and I want to start promoting offer. I do not seems to know how to get my affiliate link from the offers.
    I learnt that one's affiliate link is embedded in the offer on your page, but when I click on the offers, I do not find my publisher's ID in the URL and for the other, peerfly, the affiliate link keep sending me to a Google Chrome page.

    So my question is "How do I get my affiliate links from these offers"?

    - Read as much as you can and take as many notes as you can.

    - Always be testing.

    - Look to learn the skill set, not just get a quick fix.

    - Learn how to do things the best you can, not the easiest you can.

    - Learn how to use Google like no other.

    - Make working CPA Marketing part of your daily routine.
