CPA + PPC = How To Make A Lot ?

Okay. I'm sick of reading about people who are getting 1k days and here I am feeling like I am missing something. I'm still new to promoting CPA via ppc. I'm using smaller PPC networks and I want big days. I ran my first campaign and broke even, which I'm pretty happy about because it was my first campaign. However, I got cheap clicks and broke even with an extremely conversion rate. Something like 5 out of 200 or something clicks. Ridiculous.

I broke even, happy, but I'm hungry to get success. I know I can do this and I set everything up and have been adding keywords relevant. I know I read.. test, test, test. But I have a few questions for vets of this that know what they are doing.

How much money is enough testing do you feel?

How do you choose keywords? (obviously related to offer, but do you also do things out of the box that isn't related to offer, but it would be something of interest to them?)

What networks do you use?

Any advice for beginner?

I also read in another thread somebody mentioned, it's not good testing for PPC to throw keywords at it and wait for the result. What is proper testing consist of? I chose keywords specific to offer, have 3 landing pages, however, I do have only one ad running. Could this be the issue? I really don't know...

Well it is possible to have $1k days, but consider this, what is your budget right now?

If it's $20 per day, then your odds of having $1k days are slim and none.

You need a budget LARGER then your desired profit per day to hit that desired profit per day. Then you need a niche that has enough traffic to sustain your profit. Then you need offers that can handle that much traffic. In other words, it's possible, but not easy.

So ask yourself, can you spend $5,000 per day? Making $1k per day then would be easier. You would only need a 20% ROI to do that. (Spend $5,000, make $6,000, keep $1,000 as profits). 20% ROI is achievable, (hell that would be easier then 50% ROI or 100% roi right?). However, most people do not have $5,000 per day to spend, $150,000 per month or $1,800,000 per year ppc budgets to hit your desired number.

So is it not worth it then?

It's worth it, but you've got to start small, build up your budget and then maybe a year or two down the road, (if you're not burnt out on 16 hour days by then), your budget will be close to $2,000,000 per year and CPA network owners will be giving you their first born for your traffic.

    Hey coach,

You are right when you say that it requires large amounts of money in order to get to those 1k days. I do realize that. Yes, that would be not possible for me at this point, which I realize right now.

However, I also realize that if you can make $1, you can make $1,000. I understand that its about scaling your campaigns up. I get what you say, it would take a year to reach that point of constant scaling up.

I just want to find out how the hell to find the best strategies to test, find keywords, and know if something is working out. I feel like it's a lot about learning this on my own and gaining intuition on it and I will need to learn it over time. Like I said, I'm hungry for success.. I'm going to be putting up another campaign soon here and see where it goes, try out a few strategies I have been reading about.

I just want to see if I'm going in the right direction, or goign in the wrong direction, or if I'm even doing things right... btw, I'm using 7search which I see a lot of people hating on, but I know for a fact people are banking on it. I've all ready talked to 7search people on the phone on 4 or 5 different occasions... must get victory...

In my experience as a newbie, It's better to start in small direct to site media buys and Facebook ads. In media buys, you can spend $150 to $200 a month. And for facebook ads, you can spend $20 per day, in my experiece, facebook has the highest conversion so far.

Pretty interesting.. thanks for the tip. I will def. be branching out to other advertising sources in the future. For now, I have money in 7search, so I'm trying to work to make it profitable.. trying different niches, one by one... I know people are banking on it, and I know how they are doing it.. I'm just trying to get an eye for conversions.

Find a good offer make a good landing page, dont offer anything that isnt plausible on your page, then try to get an ad on google adwords approved. If you can build a site, this is plenty worth it. Im also working on media buys too with some freebie sites which is starting to work out. So we'll see what comes from it on my end, but I had a site going on adwords that was profiting about 100-200$ a day for 4-5 days, and in total I spent 600 on the campaign, but made about 1200 so about 600 net profit. I know a lot of people have trouble with all the hoops google makes you jump through, but if you can jump through them, you WILL reap the benefits.

I also second the media buy idea. Look up your keywords and find the guys ranking the highest, and see if you can get a media buy from them for a couple hundred dollars a month. Again I dont know what you have to invest, but you can make quite a bit of money if you were to say start with like 500 or so. Usually more for trial and error, but it's worth it in the end, because with CPA, you just sit around watching your bank account grow, while your out at the beach while everyone is at their boring 9-5 jobs. goodluck on your ventures, just know that it is possible, and you will learn much more by experience. You cant say it didnt work without trying, so just go ahead and do it. Learn, learn learn. Goodluck.

Haha right, that's the hope here. I will def. be getting into media buys in the future after a few of you have mentioned this. For now, I really want to master PPC and 7search in particular. I know people are banking with it.. I know they are, so I want to do it.

There is a way to do 7search, but most don't do it the right way. They apply adwords theory to it and crash and burn big time.

I thank the person linking to my site, which has a lot more then just niches/landing page ideas btw. In fact month 1e is 7search, direct linking and penny clicks.

But I understand that people like to figure things out on their own too, just keep experimenting and eventually you'll find a method that works. It really is about testing, tweaking and finding golden nuggets in piles of dirt.

To sum it up - you need to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run..

Don't try to run off the bad ($1k days).. start slow and crawl.. try to get your first $5 profit day, then $10 profit day, $50 profit day, $100... etc, etc, etc

You will need to find the right kind of offers for 7search.

Though few share their techniques or details there is a bit of detail at a thread - "$100+ in my first 3 days with Peerfly" written by Noah Whitmore. Look for such posts in the forum or articles on the internet and duplicate, at least in the beginning.

Thanks for the tips guys. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the tip coach, I will consider a membership on your site, obviously you guys updated and I didn't think of that.

Thanks so much guys for the information and tips.

I have a couple more ideas for different 7search ideas. I still have about 80 bucks on there, so I have a lot of ideas of things I want to run.

    Hey,
Smart Selection, Testing and evaluation is the key to bank with CPA. If you are gonna throw random keywords in your campaign and hope to profit, it's gonna be difficult. You could possibly stumble upon a profitable keyword in 1 out of 100 attempts.

You need to do smart selection of keywords to test. Keywords that have buying power and keywords that compare two rival products are most sought after.

Also, you need about 100-200 clicks to evaluate whether or not a keyword is profitable or not.

I wish I had the stupid ability to PM people, I hope you read this again. I see what you are saying regarding the keywords. So how many keywords do you typically have in a campaign? I saw this PPC Guru do a webinar the other day, the Gaur Chaundry dude (spelling, I know), and he says people who are successful have something like 14-15 thousand keywords? I was thinking I would throw keywords and see what is profitable, but based on what you say, could be why I am failing.

However, I'm choosing keywords that I feel like people will be interested in. Stuff like.. for the free ipad: ipad, ipad2, tablet pc. I mean, these seemed to me to be similar to what people want who would want a free iPad, right? Like am I missing something? Obviously, because it isn't converting. I really don't get it.. I see other people running ads with the same keywords. But like I said, I was trying to evaluate the traffic from all sources, but none of it was converting.

Thanks for the amount of clicks. That's what I was thinking.. I will wait until I get that before I realize it.

I like what you said about the two different products, I will try to do something like that. Thanks.
