The picture above reminds me of my own impatience. Actually I am very grateful to to this thread because when I saw it just now I realized that I shouldn't have to let go of the great things of yet to come. I have to dig a little deeper to understand why great things are taking too long to show up.

Yes, this is not for impatient people. But if I spent a certain sum of money for advertising and the campaign did not bring any results, it will be hard for me to have a new campaign with the same network hoping for a wonder.

What if they are both miles away from the diamonds and they will both not have success for 100 years? If they knew that was the case, should they quit and/or change their plans?

Great lesson! I've more than once had to give up on something and left with the gut feeling that I was one inch from success :-S

There is a true story (book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill" where this one guy from the East (during the Gold Rush) borrowed money from friends and relatives to buy machinery and to go to the West for gold digging. Because in a previous trip he had found a "vein". The vein didn't last much, it ran out of gold quickly and he eventually gave up and sold the machinery as scrap metal, went back East and worked very hard selling insurance to pay back the money borrowed. The owner of the junk yard he sold the machinery to, asked a mining expert for help offering to split the profits. The mining expert said "what that man didn't know is that this is sismic territory, small tremors can move the vains". After a few calculations they found the vain again 3 feet away from where they were digging and became extremely wealthy. The "now insurance salesman" found out and since then repeated a phrase in his mind when rejected while selling insurance "never stop 3 feet from gold". He also died rich.

    God bless!

That's such a GREAT book. I've read it at least half a dozen times. Same thing with "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting."

LOVE this pic though - need to print it out and hang it next to my computer monitor for those days when nothing feels like it's going right and quitting seems like the easier option. Thanks for sharing!

While I like the sentiment, there are time you should GIVE UP.

Ever heard: Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

That means that sometimes you need to stop digging in the same direction, try something different. At all time I have myself invested in at least 3-4 businesses, because I know that not all with be a success. I work on 5 new project ideas a month, and write proposals think of new ideas and move from there.

In CPA works the same. Pushing the same thing and its not working, doesn't mean its going to work.

I do also agree with the statement keep changing tactics until you find one that works, especially in this business. If you are doing something that is not working, find out WHY its not working. Its not like this bussiness is acting or singing where you have to be born with magnetic looks or talent. This business can be learned. You study from the BEST and copy their tactics. dont listen to newbies selling WSOs who are two months into the business, only take advice from people who KNOW what they are talking about
