Ad Networks Commission differences
Hey Warriors, quick question about Ad Networks.
I've been trying to Monetize a website with Ad Networks.
The site doesn't get much traffic (around 10 views a day), but since I'm going to focus on making other websites I figured I should see if I could earn anything from those 10 visits.
First I set-up Google Adsense. The results? Unbelievable. $32 in a month, but something wasn't right. Turns out there was a few days where my family members went onto my webpage and clicked as many adds as they could.
Needless to say Google caught the "unusual click activity" and my account was banned and even before I could collect the $32
.
I know some of the profit the site generated wasn't organic, but still most days my site would typically make at least a dollar.
Anyways, Now onto Adbrite and Chitika
This month I started with Adbrite then added some Chitika adds a week later. The problem is I can never see the ads come up on my site. There is just a blank box where the ad is supposed to go! I can see the Adbrite text ads (the ones with the double underline), but the main banner ad for both Adbrite and Chitika doesn't show up!
Even worse both ad networks have made 0$ this month, and only got like 5 clicks. Compared to >5 clicks a day from Google Adsense
Question, why did Google Adsense perform so well, and how come it seems like Adbrite and Chitika don't even work?
