What's a 'locking period'?

I'm trying to get some campaigns going on CJ.com now and i was wondering what is meant by 'locking period'? For example: "Actions lock 60 days after event date." Other advertisers have 10, 20 etc..

So what is meant by that?

    There's a period of time after a user buys a product when they can still return it and ask for a refund.

    The locking date is the point at which they can no longer do that and your affiliate earnings are safe.

    It simply means the affiliate commission which you generate will be locked for 60 days. i.e. those affiliate commissions will be credited your main account balance only after 60 days.

      Does that mean that i will see if i sold anything only after 60 days or something? Like if i make a sale, the commission will only show up in my account after 60 days?

      If the person who gets the product requests a refound in 60 days you won't get anything. If they don't, at the end of the time they have to request a refound you will get the money.
