Lead Impact Size Question

11 replies
I want to test out Lead Impact PPV. I've read that their popups are 800x600 and I was told to create your landing pages at 775x400.

I was using popitfast.com to see how it would look but it doesn't make sense. the popup seems to be a lot less then 775px and parts of my landing pages doesn't fit?

So I was wondering if 775x400 is the correct size?

    It actually depends on what other toolbars the user might have installed.

    Honestly, don't worry about the LP size too much. I've tested this a ton and as long as your LP has something eye catching in the viewable window, people will scroll.

    800x600, 750x400 or even smaller all works

    No real hard and fast rule on that except that your ad should fit within whatever constraints the window size is. LI, as noted is 800 x 600. On Media Traffic, you can set it larger. Personally, I like to keep all my ads 700 x 500 as I've found that works for me. But again, not a hard and fast rule

    When all else fails, just test it

    There are a lot more other aspects to worry about other than size.. (although size does matter)

    I know this may sound stupid, but how do I actually create a HTML page that is sized at 750x400 exactly? Do I just open up a blank document in something like Dreamweaver, and create a table box that size and put the content in it?

      I use Photoshop and HTML to build my landing pages, just make sure save your file for web and devices. Then just add your links,tracking codes with Dreamweaver or Kompozer.

      I typically create a wrapper div class:
      HTML Code:
      .wrapper {
      width: 775px;
      height: 400px;
      margin: 0 auto;
      }
      Then when you add the div to your page it'll be 775x400px and centered:
      HTML Code:
      <div class="wrapper">
      Your content here
      </div>
      For LeadImpact I create my landers for 775x400 because that is the viewable space on every single machine I've installed their adware on and tested. I use Google Chrome to test my landing pages within that viewable space if I don't have my Windows laptop with me. The extension is called Window Size:

      Highly recommend it
