A few quick thoughts on buying FB leads..

Buying Facebook fans does work, if you do it the right way. Make sure that you buy legitimate and highly targeted leads, and you can do that by making use of someone who has a fan page and sends out a promotional message to his fans, advertising your offer.

Here are a couple points you need to consider before you should give it a go.

Step 1) If the person you intend to buy the fans from has no previous record, don't do it. Get as much proof and data as you need to fully trust the person.

In case the person should be unwilling or incapable to show any professional proof, don't even get into the business.

Step 2) Arrange a clear amount for each generated click in advance or each generated lead (preferably confirmed opt-in). Example: This can be $0.20/click or $0.40/generated lead.

Step 3) Go ahead and open up an unique squeeze page, solely for this project. Please do NOT use an existing landing page to which you already drive traffic too. Why? Because you want to use EXACT stats, not make estimates.

Step 4) Go ahead and use Google Analytics and/or any other tracking tool to measure the amount of visitors, where they are coming from and much more.

Step 5) Use your instincts. If you feel that this person is not legitimate of if something tells you, you should better not do it because of a lack of information then skip this person and find a new provider.

The better you plan everything and closely follow your plan, the less likely it becomes that you get screwed.

    Gerald,

Nice post man, rock solid content. I haven't played around that much with social ad media's - but, those 5 "steps" are easily the pillars to a much more successful Facebook fan page lead gen. deal, no doubt.

    Cheers,

    -Justin

I appreciate your thoughts. Basically, this is how you should go about any solo ad strategy or your spread yourself to thin.

Lead generation needs to be measurable to work optimally. If you cannot measure your success rate, your risking without evening knowing it.

Simple get as much proof as you can and track as much as you can. It can only do you good!

I have caught so many people out using step number 3...

A bit of an extension to this piece of advice..

Use a subdomain to host squeeze pages specific to the advertiser. for example if someone had a facebook page called joes advertising and they were going to send you leads from that page you would then setup a page and subdomain called joes-advertising.mydomain.com

    This helps with 2 things..

    1. It relates to the advertiser so whoever trusts that advertiser will be more likely to trust you.

    2. It'll put off a large number of BS advertisers because they can see there name is now attached to the link and if they screw it up they'll be in some way responsible

just my 5 cents worth anyway
