Is the "poll method" considered incentevised?

The poll method - where you have someone answer a question or poll and send them to an email submit cpa offer, is that considered an incentive?

No, that is not incentive traffic.... You are totally fine with that.

They have no reason to fill out the offer unless they are simply interested in it. There is no incentive there.

The quality for the poll methods are normally good.

    Thanks,

Ofcourse its incentevised, do not run polls on non-incentive offers,u may get ban from network, still if u want to run non-incentive offers, try to hide your traffic source.

I wouldn't consider it an incentivitized method, because, in this case, you are not offering an incentive to the visitors in exchange of that CPA offer, on the contrary.. the CPA offer IS "the prize".

I have not tested any poll methods though, so I am not 100% certain what the networks think of it.

Your best shot would be to ask your affiliate manager directly.

I think we are incentivizing indirectly by saying "vote for .... and win ...."

          Speak to your AM.

I have never considered asking a poll to be an incentive, and I've never heard of anybody having a problem with it.

By that argument you could suggest anybody clicking on any PPC advert which offered information after they click incentivised traffic.

Your AM will typically consider anything you give away to be an incentive.

Kakehyten, can't you just look at the offer and it should say if the offer allows incentives or not.

If they do allow, then it's safe to assume that the poll method would be ok to use.

Aside from that, I know a lot of people hide their traffic with the poll method.

Thanks steve. Thats the whole point. I already know if the offer says incentives are ok then who cares if the poll method is considered incentive or not. I'm talking about ones that DO say incentives are not allowed.

Okay, there are a few different poll methods..... I am figuring you are probably talking about the one that Stevelean is teaching is his free coaching program?

If so then you are totally fine,

If you are incentiving an offer, that means you are giving your traffic a reason other then them simply being interested in the offer to fill out the offer.... For example, you may say, if you fill out these 15 offers I will give you $50 or a gift cards or something like that. BUT, if a person votes for something and you redirect them straight to the offer or you redirect them to another page that says "Thank you for voting blah blah blah" and give them an offer as a "thank you".... They have NO reason to complete the offer at all, the only reason why they would complete the offer is becuase they are interested in the offer. That makes it totally NON-incentive..... The only incentive they have for completing the offer is the offer its self, like getting a $250 gas card or something, but that has nothing to do with You incentivizing the offer.

And I ALWAYS recommend you cloak or blank your link so the CPA networks can not see what you are doing no matter how white hat or black hat your method is.... And that is for many many reasons.

I have never had a problem with it.

    Thanks

    Micah Rush

yeh its incentivising, if it wasnt for the poll they wouldnt do it, right?

thanks a lot guys. I also am agreeing with it NOT being incentivised because when they take a poll and redirect to offer they are not being "offered" anything to fill out the submit.

However, i have no idea what this "blank" my link. Where can i read up on that so i know how to do that. thanks again!

thanks all for all the contribution. i think its non incentivising because on the website in which the poll will take place will have already stated on it that there is an offer for every body that participates in the poll. so if any body participates in the poll and being directed to the offer i dont think it incentive.
