Ad Networks That Have Been Bought - Have Things Normalized?

Hi,

I used to be a prolific CPA marketer but slowly moved my business in other directions years ago, when CPA companies went through a transition phase.

Does anyone have a list of CPA companies that were bought by other companies and changed names from years ago?

For example Azoogle.com was bought and turned into Epic, and they shut down, etc.

Are there more of these? Bought and sold CPA networks. Any info would be great.

The problem with CPA has always been getting paid what you are owed, and that still seems to be the case today. The golden era was around 2006-2007 in my opinion, and I wonder if it is anywhere near that today.

Not really, stay on weekly payments and if they don't pay you on time stop your traffic.

How much have you lost in non-payments?

I've lost around 15k, which I look as nothing because you are going to take looses like this in any industry. And I've made so much more in the long term.

It is very easy to limit your risk.

      Hi,

I have lost roughly 45k in my career with CPA. Back then, weekly payments were just starting to become popular so I really did not think to even do it that way.

I did use quit a few networks, and where most of my unpaid earnings would come from were middle of the road networks that could not handle my volume I am guessing.

I did get scrubbed a ton as well for lesser offers an I would never be able to calculate how much I lost from those campaigns.

  • This whole industry imo is based on Risk, back in the day rebills were very popular but the FTC dips there hands in and companies get sued and affiliates get stiffed. Just the way this industry works.

Yep, I know. That is why I got out of it. I was wondering if any aspect has changed in the past several years.

Re-bills were a big part of my old CPA rep, I could see them getting heat, so I move on.

Go direct to advertisers and get prepays.

That is actually a fantastic idea.

I'm assuming you need good volume to even approach with.
