Do you run your ads 24 hours a day?

I've been running a dating campaign that has been doing pretty well, at least by my standards, but I find there are times of the day I am consistently making 300% ROI or more and other times where I am losing money. So I have started to pause my ads after a certain time.

Just curious, does everyone else do this.

    Yes, some of time the conversion rate is better.
    But it really depend on which country you target to becasue there is time different.
    In my experience, whatever you target to, the best time is around 12:pm - 2:00am.
    Probably they are sleeping.
    So if you want to get a better results, make sure you check out the time different between your local and your targeted country.

    Yeah, I noticed that with my POF campaigns and would go through and pause them during certain times. I'm currently running some campaigns on Facebook and only run them for a few hours every day

    Day Parting works extremely well for some campaigns. Dating like you mention is probably the most popular. Many more people are actively looking to join dating networks at night, after work, when they are sipping wine by themselves and watching Seinfeld then at noon.

    Other campaigns it won't make a lick of difference

    I agree with Kenster. Majority of people wouldn't use a dating site during normal work/business hours, unless they are students/retired/work from home.
    So it's best to keep your campaigns paused or with a much lower budget during the day.
    I would say evenings, nights and weekends are the times you want to make sure your campaigns are active.

    I start with running them 24 hours a day, then after a bit of tracking if I identify that it's smarter to day part, then I will start day parting

    I'm not, in my case it's not necessary. I'm using Epom's ad server, and they have nice feature for daily limit for campaign or banner.

    I use to. But after 4 straight campaigns where I lose 20% of my budget in 1 night, I stopped.

    I run Adult Dating 24/7 ..

    When running large volumes and multiple campaigns it just gets to tedious trying to monitor everything.

    Also, conversion rates usually even themselves throughout the day.

    Plus with Global Timezones there is always conversions happening.
