I've never used google adwords for anything other than promoting my own actual physical product type company....

but is Adwords ok with directing ppl to a squeeze page type scenario?

Maybe not a squeeze page per-se...for example

Go to first page, has info...then you go to next page to get more info, then, you have to opt in to get the rest of the info.

is Google Adwords ok with that? Not a CPA, not an affiliate, just collecting emails...

    Adwords quickly bans affiliate and CPA marketers. If that's what you have in mind, I would save your money.

      Actually it's not....I'm just trying to build a list to communicate with...market research, that kinda stuff. Not trying to sell them...but real life people that I can interact with are worth more to me than the advertising it costs to acquire them...

    adwords bans landingpages and cpa etc..
    however i use this method for the last 3 months and dont get banned:

    1. buy a domain name
    2. 301 redirect the domain straight to the affiliate link
    3. promote it with adwords

    Pro's:
    * you get approved
    * you dont get banned lol

    Con's:
    * no custom landing page
    * harder to monitor conversions if you use a 3d party monitor script/software

    Conclusion:
    you need to find a cpa offer that already has a good catchy landingpage itself in order to get this to work.

    Yeah but that's not what Greedy's saying, what Greedy means is
    Google doesn't care what your intent is they will lay the ban hammer on you..

    All they care about is the user experience.

    If someone types in a search, clicks on your ad and ends up on a squeeze page
    with no content but they have to enter their email in for more it provides a bad
    user experience..

    This is what Google doesn't want.

    While your intentions are good, they just don't like that.

    Now maybe if you use the 'content' network, display some banners
    and link to a squeeze page you may be able to get a way with it easier.

    But yeah overall me personally I'd avoid them, so much traffic outside
    of Google.

    With adwords, unless you have a full built out website, i recommend just staying away

    At the end of the day, you can give it a shot if you want, you don't have anything to lose.

    But I would be weary basing your whole business around it.

    The worse feeling is when you wake up to check Adwords in the morning, and you got the ban hammer.
