Is a CPA Company Entitled to KNow Your Traffic Source?

I have been running a health food offer from a major CPA site.

I promote the CPA offer as a "back-end" product as something the customer really needs.

It converts very wel.

I am not doing anything unethical or illegal, but I frankly do not want the CPA company to see my original product.

So I have always used redirects so they cant trace it back.

But now they are investigating me and asking how I drive traffic.

They are being vague.

But part of me thinks they are not asking about the original product, and perhaps I am freaking out for nothing. Maybe just the redirects are making them think I am doing something bad?

If there is anyone out there that knows about this, it would be a great help.

Well if they are entitled to or not, if you don't answer they may cut you from the offer, but I do understand the reluctance to tell them. Maybe the redirects look "suspicious" to them, you might just want to be honest with them

Just blank the referrer. Actually if you do not want the network to know then they are not entitled. You have the final say so in that. There are too many networks to have to give it to them.

Hit me up maybe we have the offer. I can probably beat the rate as well. If your traffic is legit and how you say it is then I have no problem you blanking the referrer. I do it myself to my own network. You don't want people stealing your methods and you don't want a network who would.

  well yes you should at;least inform them from where you are getting traffic for example tell them you are converting from back end etc and also let know them know you can`t show them backend and product .. As long as your lead quality is good they should n`t have any problems

They usually want a general description... PPC, PPV, Social, ect...

But as far as sharing specific ad networks and LP, if they ask or demand it, just tell them you are going to take your traffic to another CPA network.

There are enough of them out there, and legit ones don't ask for that stuff. Unless you traffic appears very spammy.

I worked at 2 of the largest CPA networks for over 2 years and I can tell you this.

1. If your conversion rate is too high - over 30-50% - they will investigate.
- simply reduce your conversion rate by sending junk traffic from places like trafficholder

2. It's your business - if you want to hide your traffic sources, that is fine - but CPA networks in the end hold the keys to whether or not you will be allowed to run an offer with a cloaked traffic source

My advice is to be up front with them and tell them you are sending from a certain source such as PPV, email, display/banner, but dont be specific with them.

Damn, so the publisher doesn't have the right to be extremely good in conversions ?
