Hey everyone. I have only been advertising on POF for about a month now ... so I am still getting the basic jist of things.

My question is .. how much targeting is too much targeting? I can't seem to find a good balance in my targeting ... it's either too narrow and I get barley any impressions or it's too broad and I can barely break even.

If anyone here could sum up just how far into the targeting one should go for promoting dating offers I would really appreciate it.

I'll use a jewish dating site as an example:

Country: US
Age: 25-30
Gender: Female
Religion: Jewish
Marital Status: Single, Divorced, Separated, Windowed

Thats it! If you're using a different offer for example a BBW offer then just change the "religion" to "body type" and pick appropriately.

Session depth & login count are important to pay attention as well.

And don't forget things like browser type to block out mobile traffic.

But to answer your question, it is usually some-what of a tweaking process for me.

As long as there are clicks which you can afford and which convert and provided you hae the time to target that much, you are good.

Session depth and login count do matter, but don't prejudge which one is best based on someone elses info. (Which could be false to throw you off their trail).
