Affiliate Managers contacted me to get me to start promoting

Hi,

I joined a few affiliate networks and their AMs have just contacted and are wondering if they could do anything to help me to get started in promoting their offers.

I have no intention of promoting their offers soon so I was wondering how should I reply to their query?

I wouldn't want to get kicked out just cause I don't want to promote from their network yet.

Uhm, just tell them the truth. However some don't like if you signup and only send one lead in half a year. Otherwise you could have applied, when you were ready for it...

Question would be why sign up to the network/affiliate program in the first place if you have no intention of advertising? Either way, be honest with them. Affiliate managers are extremely busy people and would no doubt appreciate knowing they can focus their energies helping the other affiliates who are ready to earn.

I do have the intention of advertising just not soon given some of my other commitments that tightened up my cash flow(I intend to start advertise in 2-3 weeks time when I'll be more able to do so). I've joined 3 and anyone uses all of their networks to promote offers. Mostly, I believe, people stick to the network with the highest payout for an offer.

Just tell them that I can't do so now and I'll do so soon?

    Clearly, a no-experience answer.

Just be honest with them. If you ignore them or lie, they will likely have your account deactivated, so just be honest, or tell them you plan on starting to send some traffic to them shortly (if you do indeed plan to do this)

Speaking as an AM, I will tell you that we're used to seeing only under 10% (rough estimate) of those who apply jump in and start promoting the offers right away.
Some come back later, others never do at all. We're used to it, but reaching out to a new affiliate and asking if I can be of any help to you get you started is a normal practice!

My advice is: don't ignore that email. Better reply with a simple "I am just looking around and will let you know if I need help when I start the campaigns".

Don't concern yourself too much with which network has higher payouts for an offer. For a whole number of reasons, the same offer will convert better on some networks than it will on others. Ideally, you'll want to test an offer out on several different networks. You'll want to go with the one that gives you the best EPC (the average Earnings Per Click)
