adwords geo targettign

hi im use to doing organic seo but at the moment im setting up an adwords campaign for my client. Is it correct that if I geo target in the campaign settings to just a set area, then that ad will only show up in that area????

So its a term for solicitors

I'm going with just simply "Personal injury solicitors" rather then

"personal injury solicitors kent"

When I go with the second term it says i've not got a high enough quality score I ended up with a 2. Whilst going with the first term I get a 3 and it just said not enough bid to hit page 1 which was better then the first message on the longer tail term.

So I've gone with the second term just as a test. Are these assumptions correct? Can someone please advise?

Yes, that's what geo targetting is for...

Yes, that is how it works.

And I would just test both terms, you never know how they will perform.

Yes, that is exactly what geo targeting is.

Why not try a few different ads, sometimes a higher quality score does not mean you will be making more money.
