TrafficJunky Question.. Why can't I be the top bidder?

I am bidding higher than others and also have a higher budget, I have even tried putting $20,000 budget which even though sometimes give me top position there is hardly any margin between me and the 2nd guy.

What to do?

    Sometimes there are "established" bidders, who really spend a lot of money, so they give them priority. Other than that you would probably have to outbid them by +10% to really stay on top.

    Sometimes it's what you have on deposit with them too that matters. If you have a huge daily budget but $50 in the account, they deem that as you have a $50 budget.

      I am a bit competitive in that way but jokes aside, Once I have figured the campaign I like to go for most of the traffic. I have got my answers here, thanks.

    in addition to what everyone else has said, it might also be your targeting options. The more general you are, the less you have to bid to get the top spot. So if you have keywords and frequency cap, you'll have to bid a lot more than someone with just frequency cap.
