What are untracked conversions?

For example the network W4 pays you back untracked conversions every month. That means any offer you run on any network you will have untracked conversions. Why are they untracked? That means you're losing money on conversions you made. I don't understand this.

This usually happens because there is a problem with the tracking between the network and the advertiser. 95% of the time, when things are running correctly, this isn't an issue. Sometimes they can manually track conversions back to you. If thing got really screwy and they can't track it back to you directly, the may resort to estimating.

It's possible that some unethical advertisers and networks could shave your commissions that way. The best thing you can do to avoid this is to work with trusted networks.

If you feel like you may be owed more commission, bring it up to your AM.

You should double check with your am, this normally would mean if the pixel does not fire and the conversion does not track

It's pretty rare when both the network and advertiser have stable and reliable hosting for their trackers. If a tracker goes down or the postback/pixel isn't working, they will know pretty quick and manually load in the conversions that were missed during the technical problems.
