Yet Another POF Question

I'm running 8 campaigns with 27 ads in them each - all the same headline, different images. I am running an offer that pays out $20 - $40 and have had luck with it on POF in the past when I was even more of a newbie.

As it stands I have spent $50 today between them all with no conversion. Each ad has around 1000 impressions. My conversions in the past seem to happen at night. Very bad CPC, $1.50. Some age demographics are sucking and some are .2ctr+.

I'm sure it's been answered a million times but am I doing this right? Should I collect more data or be shutting this down and changing the headline now.

Any information would help

Thanks!

You need to gather more data. You have the right idea, but you aren't spending enough money on testing.

Like I just posted in another thread I test for 7,000+ impressions and 1-2x the offer's payout.

So for you lets say you are spending $40 per ad, and being sure to get over 7,000 impressions to each.

    So 27 (ads) x 8 (campaigns) x $40 = $8,600.

Yup a lot to spend on testing. That's why it is best to start with offer's with smaller payouts. Say $4.

    So 27 (ads) x 8 (campaigns) x $4 = $860.

The other main issues that stick out at me is your 8 campaigns. We should cut that down a bit. I usually start with 1 or 2 campaigns. Why do you have 8? Is there different settings in each?

You wouldn't have to spend $40 per ad.

Continue to only run ads that have that .2% CTR or higher. If all those ads run till about $150ish spent and 0 conversions, you're doing something wrong or the offer/s aren't viable anymore for the angle you were running. It could be that that offer has now been pounded to death of PoF and it isn't as fruitful as it used to be. You have to adapt and evolve to changing tides, which is most likely whats up. What worked a couple months ago may not work today, especially if other affiliates have been running that offer.

How are you getting 0.2? I'm glad to just have gotten to 0.15. It seems it would be hard to get 0.2 under POF's current guidelines.

The tighter your targeting the higher the CTR you should be expecting. With one of my campaigns, I have about 6 different images and each one is getting between 0.3% and 0.5% CTR over a few hundred thousand impressions. This is because they are great images, but also because the targeting is so good that nearly everyone who sees the ad wants to click it and signup/buy.

But how many clicks is that getting you?

Not too many haha. Getting around 30k impressions a day with that campaign, so anywhere between 100 and 120 usually.

It sounds like you're off to a reasonable start, the unfortunate thing with promoting higher paying offers is you need to spend more to test. Without knowing the specifics of your ads it's hard to give more precise advise, but keep going.
