Which Hosting Provider Are You Using?

Hay Marketers,
I would like to ask you which hosting provider are you using?

I'm asking because I'm planning to change my one(hostgator)
They used to be really good, with perfect support and good service.
But they became really bad, hosting is slow, the support is worst then ever.

I'm looking a good hosting for my few blogs and landing pages.

If you are going to be driving a lot of traffic i recommend a VPS server. I personally use BeyondHosting because they are very Affiliate Marketer friendly. They will even install CPVLAB or Prosper202 for you which is great. Hope this helps.

    To Your Success!

If you go the VPS route, which is a good idea, check out Wiredtree as well.

    First things first...

    Don't use
    - Godaddy
    - Yahoo
    - 1&1
    - Dreamhost
    - the 50+ EIG brands, including Hostgator, Bluehost, Justhost, iPage, Fatcow, and a crapload others.

I have no idea why people still suggest these hosts in 2013. They're terrible Walmart-quality "mass market" hosts with poor uptime, poor support, and slow servers. Ignore the fake "top 10" lists that praise these SOLELY because of their payout. The list owners want to use you, not help you find a good host.

Now that that's out of the way...

    My main four hosts are
    - EuroVPS
    (7+ years),
    - Stablehost (4+ years),
    - Namecheap (~1 year) and
    - Veerotech (~1 year).

Each of these is excellent, with some of the best tech support around (speed AND effectiveness), excellent uptime, and non-overloaded fast servers. I use several dozen hosts (different needs), but those are main ones, and some of the best ones. Between those 4, everything you could want is there -- by price, location, service, etc.

Now go get yourself a good host.

Daamn, and I thought justhost is good. I've been checking top 10 hosting providers and they were first in some places.

      Thank You for your advice.

Generally, the majority of companies on "top 10" lists, are only there because of their affiliate payouts.

You mentioned "I'm looking a good hosting for my few blogs and landing pages."

Could you go into more detail on the sites? What resource usage are you currently using?

What are your future plans for the sites & what features are you looking for?

Do you have a location preference?

Hostgator was bought out by EIG, which owns many many brands. I'd suggest avoiding all of them, at least until EIG gets their data center in order. Also avoid GoDaddy.

I use LunarPages and Arvixe. Both are pretty good. I've had problems with both, but I think those kinds of problems can happen at any host.

LiquidWeb blow HostGator out of the water IMO, when it comes to quality.

And support over there was much faster than HostGator. You should check out getting a Storm SSD VPS running Linux from them. It is a great server for Affiliate Marketing.

Just host is the best and the cheapest for shared hosting. Though they are all owned by the same company, JustHost has a better cPanel than HostGator. Their support is the same though. Anyway if you are looking for VPS, these companies might prove to be expensive. I guess any managed vps/dedicated hosting will be expensive if it is managed. Look into unmanaged hosting. A small learning curve but a 10 times more cheaper with 10 times more features.

I was using HostGator for years, so bad now.

I just got my VPS set up with BeyondHosting and they've actually made the whole process easy. I have to say that their customer service is excellent too. I've submitted two tickets to them, once was answered within 10 minutes and the other ~ 30 minutes. Everything is very simple and there's a straightforward tutorial on how to install prosper202 on your server which you can do in a couple of minutes.

I have been thinking about leaving hostgator when i noticed i had to reload one of my websites twice for it to load properly. The first time it was literally down which was odd. I need to research how hard it would be to transfer everything over to one of the reccomended host companies.

Most companies would do a migration for you with no problems. How many sites do you currently have?

I've been hosting with IX Web hosting for the last 3 years and things couldn't be better. The customer support is excellent, uptimes are flawless and the web resources I get for the money I'm paying them is quite a bargain.

I don't believe in promoting hosts just for the sake of it, so I will say that there are loads of good hosts around and you should, at the end of the day, take only those opinions which you trust (word of mouth from trusted associates, friends, relatives), but if you as me, IX is a pretty decent company to host with.

I use ipage where I did not have any problems with them. Their hosting package is cheap and reliable. Their support is perfect. You get very fast response. Also they have 7/24 live chat support which makes everything perfect. They also provide a lot of free tools like marketing credits. For the price that you pay it's very affordable and it worths it. My suggestion is for ipage. You can check their website and see if it's for you.
