Average pops per lead?

Anyone have any idea if say: interruption marketing, direct linking, 1%-3% CR; what the average lead conversion rate would be with CPV?
I'm sure I'll get answers like "Oh it really varies, just do some testing." but anyone have any guesses?
Even best guesses are appreciated.
It would really help give me a feel and hopefully cut down my learning curve some. Thanks.

Without testing and experimenting, it's going to be purely luck. But if you really want a ballpark guess:

Be happy if you convert @1/1000

That's probably a decent approximation. It is possible to do much better once you have narrowed down a few performing keywords and landing pages.

      Thanks!
Hopefully I can get much, much, much better over time cause
1 in 1000 is major negative profits with this offer, I would make about $4.50 for every $20 if I have my bids at the lowest possible bidding.

Unfortunately, there is wayy to many factors to make a guess in any way. Some things:

    - Your LP quality.
    - Your PPV Network quality.
    - Your targeting quality.
    - Your ninche.

And this list could go on even longer.

What I would suggest doing is putting together your campaign, running a test, and then posting the data from it here in WarriorForum.

At that point we can give you some accurate feedback and insights. Letting you know if you are on the right path or going in the wrong direction.

    I hope that helps.

My Landing page quality is 3% CR my EPC = $0.14 direct linking for leads.

DirectCPV is my PPV company I have been using. I hear from everyone Lead Impact is way better so I signed up gave my $200 but I can't seem to figure out how to target Urls on this one. Can you still do this here? Plus I have never been able to get them on the phone which I also don't really like. I figure targeted traffic is targeted traffic so DirectCPV shouldn't logically be that much worse unless they are using spider of robots for views. I guess DirectCPV and leadImpact do have different styles for popups though so that might make some difference as well I have a program for testing how the offer would look in each of the different networks. I hadn't tested that yet though maybe I should do that after I finish writing this post.

I finished and I'm back and by far out of all the networks DirectCPV has the best Popup for my offer next best MediaTraffic, TraficVance and leadImpact were about tied for not very good and AdonNetwork was definitely the worst. I don't think they exist any more do they?

Targeting: I started by scraping Google, Yahoo and Bing for all the URL's for various keywords I found on Google Keyword planner.

What I had done in the past was scrape all the search engines for all the keywords.

This time I thought I'd cut corners by scraping 10 of the top keywords, I tried to make sure each were different sounding so that I wouldn't waste my time with mostly duplicates in the past and I would go through the group categories and sometimes pull out better hidden keywords and use those as well cause some of those were even better than the parent keywords. This process worked nicely cause what took me all day to scrape a 1000 unique URL's I could do almost as much doing it this way in half an hour.

      But...
my scrape campaign was suspended, because between my affiliate manager and I somewhere we screwed up on putting in the subid's and tracking variables so the campaign got suspended.

So the Url was bunk and so the $10 I had spent on that campaign didn't really count but I got to see how fast the traffic could come in by doing it that way.

So then I tried a new campaign - same offer. This time I just tried under 10 urls the traffic could come in pretty fast some times with much fewer url's than the scraping method. This was the direction that seemed best since I can't seem to have much luck so far with the tracking, so I thought why not? I can test somewhat within here by pausing Urls and seeing how much traffic they bring.

I would kill urls usually after they brought 1-200 views without a conversion. I don't know if that's right now after I hear it takes 1000 to see a lead come in but if it goes much beyond that it's just a money drainer anyways.

I kept adding urls. I kept getting better targeted ones at least that's what I have been thinking. I would find paid products in my niche and then hijack their thank you page, some I got from bing and some I found at the top of clickbank for gravity. I tried to pick and focus on products that seemed to fit the demographics of my offer based on the info I got from Alexa about my offer. I also figure thank you pages are good cause then you get the prospects while they are still in a buying trance. Between all of them together I had about 300 views and no leads. I haven't killed any of them yet cause maybe I'm in denial cause this idea seems so good, but none of them individually has got over 100 yet so maybe we should see on this one.

I also started another trick for picking urls that seems pretty ninja as well, I sort of don't want to share this one at the moment I figure either it won't work at all or it will work so well that I should keep it quit before the networks ban this method like they did the youtube video scraping method.

So that is a bit more specific about what has been going on.

How long is a piece of string?

Your question is focusing on the wrong things.

There is no average per say.. It varies by niche, targets, landing page, offer, etc.. Your best bet is just to test and see how it works out for you
