CONSTRUCTIVE LP Criticism

Hello all,

I didn't really want to do this, but it needs to be done lol. This is the first time I've ever been building landing pages. Thus, I need input and feedback. I need to know what makes a good landing page, etc.

For these reasons, I've decided to submit my landing pages - for constructive criticism only. I know they're not great, but that's why I'm here. So please, be respectful, any pointers you can give me are greatly appreciated.

I wasn't aware landers had to be submitted to AM's so the first 1 ran briefly. The other two - my AM told me this advertiser doesn't allow custom landers for PPV - So i thought they'd be alright to share considering they can't be used. My worry is that it's just cause my landing pages are REALLY bad.

The landers are uploaded in chronological order.

GCLP2 - CTR = 3.2%

GCLP4 - (Uploaded as 2 separate frames because gif was too big) - CTR = Not Tested

GCLP5 - (Uploaded as 2 separate frames because gif was too big) - CTR = Not Tested

Obviously, the first 2 were pretty half-assed that's and that's why I just sat down and said I really neeed to put some time into this. It's just frustrating because the advertiser provided me with one that had to be used - it was the only way I was allowed to promote the offer - which had a CTR of .29% .....

I hate to give such a lame answer, but just test them for highest conversion rate. I'd just run 1, 2, and 4 since 3 and 5 are just variations. If 2 or 4 wins, test the variations. Do this all with a rotator script to minimize any time/day biases.

        You're right.
Although I would improve them a little bit from the colors' aspect. In my opinion, I find them quite annoying to my eyes and I think you should lower the brightness.

        Anyway, wish you luck!

        Sincerely,
        David.

They're just variations because I couldn't load them as gif image. The different image are the separate frames - I was playing around with animations.

I can't test these, as the advertiser doesn't allow custom creatives for their offer. I was wondering what kind of things that the people who make landers would change.

David - While I agree with you that the 2nd one is a little bright, I'm trying to catch the visitors attention. This isn't like POF... I have about 2 seconds from the time the visitor sees my ad to have something that helps them decide to either click-through or close my ad. The last 2 were built off of the offer pages color scheme, and the lander that they provided me.

Test and Test. . Seriously though, it doesn't matter what anyone says on the forum, only until you've tested your LPs will you get raw data to make changes. there are so many factors involved with how LPs perform. the best thing is to do what everyone has been saying....test.

so test away my friend. then optimize, scale, rinse, repeat.

I don't like any of them.

The last 3 are going for the jugular. Way too aggressive.

You have to use the thing to get their attention first, generate interest, create desire and get them to take action. None of those do that.

Speak to the person as if you're having a coffee with them and they just told you they had a problem.

Boy I'm glad you were able to put that nicely.

Anyways, what would you change in regards to something like the last landing page? Get rid of the flashing words, flashing border, specific images?

even if someone on here doesn't like one of your LPs, it doesn't mean another person will. everyone has different opinions. that's why it's important to test. pick your target audience, test your LPs and see what they like.
