Hi Folks,

I'm quite sure that almost all of you have already heard about Adf.ly and its cheap traffic. Since I couldn't get much quality information about it myself searching Google, I decided that I will conduct my own research in this topic. And as result, I came up with some blog posts.

I thought it might be interesting for those who are thinking about getting traffic from Adf.ly.

I personally think that Adf.ly is not evil but it needs to be used the right way (like all the other advertisement options).

So here are the posts:
Adfly Traffic Experiment (Part 1) - Expectations
Adfly Traffic Experiment (Part 2) - The Process
Adfly Traffic Experiment (Part 3)

And the results of my very recent campaign:
My Judgement On Adfly

I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Cheers,
Bradley

You must spend really a lot of money to earn something with adf.ly and not even then you can not be sure that you can scale it up and make a profit in the end. Usually their traffic knows that there will be some ad showing and looks like they become blind to anything you're showing. Last time I tried it, I promoted some game offer, it went good but with a lot of money invested. The make money online niche for sure is not going to be successful.

Actually, my main reason for getting traffic from them was that I wanted to have subscribers to those I can send notifications later that "look, I have a new post on my blog", and so get some direct traffic. I didn't want to monetize them in a one-round campaign. I wanted to build up an audience.

But yes, I fully agree with you Costi that this traffic is not efficient in an old way internet marketing form.

I don't understand why you are so sceptic to link shortening. If someone has a strong, loyal audience, he can add some shortened links without bad effects. He can always use capping not to upset his visitors (it is available in shorte.st) . Money aren't big but they are. And you can use that method with other ad systems.
(sorry for my english, I'm still learning
