So I want to start trying some CPA. I am a member of Copeac but had little success.

I have some questions.

Can you have success advertising the affiliate link directly with PPC or is it better to have your own domain name and build a website for it?

Does anyone use blogs for CPA?

What are some basic strategies that someone can give me?

Thanks,
Brian P

Alot no ALL of your answers can be found using the search. Also you need to do what most of us do and purchase some ebooks/training courses etc and learn. If you are too strapped for cash there is plenty of free info again by using search.

Good luck i think your going to need it.

I recommend you search for two warriors: Stephon "phon" Rudd and Honestbizpro. Their posts are golden. Stephon also has a beginners guide which you will find useful: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...rces-wont.html

    Hey Brian P,

I have heard that landing pages really help your conversions over just doing direct linking.

well this is not really a CPA question, but a rather generic PPC question.

If you do adwords you NEED to make/have your own sites. You cant direct link. Even if you could, quality score on adwords would kill you.

My AM told me that direct linking is actually possible/allowed..but as said this is rather an issue having to do with Google and their policies.

I have to disagree with direct linking getting a killer quality score. I have direct linked many times and have had 9/10 for QS. Some ads have better conversions with direct linking than landing pages. Try direct linking if it doesn't work add a landing page to it. You can test both to see which works better. There are people that make 6 figures a month from direct linking.

Can anybody explain to me WHY? A landing page causes higher conversions? I am directly linking and getting sales but I am curious if I should throw up a landing page that pre-sells.

I'm afraid if I do that it might make conversions worse because of something I do or say on my landing page. Any thoughts? My quality scores are around mostly 7... some are 10's.

    1. Don't direct link. Have your own landing page with links to:
policy, contact, sitemap, articles, outbound links to high pr sites.

    2. Get site indexed before advertising. this is a new filter google is using to stop the overnight hit-n-run advertisers that spam their search engine.

    3. Have a ctr of 1.5% +

    4. Start with a QS 7, over time it will grow to 10.
