CPA Neebie - Campaigns not converting!

Hi all,
I'm looking for some direction...
After quite a lot of searching & reading I finally started to create CPA campaigns but as yet have not been able the generate revenue.

Following a video example I created a dating related campaign (on MyLikes.com) but despite 200 paid clicks not only was no income generated but the affilliate's analytics didn't capture the clicks (there system only picked-up 29 clicks).

My second campaign again involving MyLikes.com (& 200 paid clicks) for a PeerFly CPA (win an iphone 5) resulted in zero income.

Is it always like this?
Rather than just looking through the CPA networks for products with good EPC and Lead income and then creating a campaign is there a better more effective method that would generate a profit?

Thanks in advance for your input
David

If i have this correct, are you finding offers, then purchasing inventory, running the offers and trying to pull conversions on the offers to then break a profit?

    • Yes... finding offers, creating ppc campaigns and looking to generate income (break even would be great at this stage).

In the meantime, will be check-out AdsCluster

      Thanks for your input /suggestions

Thats a really risky business unless you have control over which sources you are displaying the campaign/offer on. Meaning you should be able to see which sites the offer is running on, and be able to see which ones are better performing.

Here at PremiumCPM we run CPA/CPL/CPI Campaigns all the time, but we charge on CPM only. So we optimize to meet CPA/CPL/CPI Goals. As an Account Manager, how do I do it? We start off running on sites which are fitting for the offer, then we judge performance per site, and remove the sites which are poorly performing, this increases the ROI. This is not something I would suggest doing with only $100 dollars, and the reason why is by the time you hit $100 you really don't have enough data about every site you are running on to be able to optimize, then when you make the changes, you need to run inventory to see the difference in performance, then need to rinse and repeat. The process can cause you to go in deep but at the end if you come off with a 1% return or more its all worth it.

Try to run the campaigns from genuine source like facebook, POF and yahoo advertising as all the users are real and no bot traffic, don't waste your valuable money in the fake traffic provider

I'm not familiar with the MyLikes platform but I do know it's social traffic and social traffic has always been a bit tricky and difficult to monetize with CPA offers.

I'd focus on finding another traffic source, if you're set on web traffic look into media buying, something like sitescout or buysellads. If targeted right you can create some nice high ROI banner campaigns. Realize it'll take a lot of trial and error and a bit of money to collect enough data to get a campaign profitable.

Are you using a tracking tool? Run some smaller tests on multiple offers($50-$100 each) until you run one that converts enough that you're able to make changes and test again.

I'd start by switching to a different traffic source. Use something like facebook or pof, many people are having success with these traffic sources so you know that the traffic source is good, that will take out one variable.
