Sorry for my stupid question, im a noob and as far as I know, we can only track conversion when we put a tracking code on thank you/confirmation page. So, how can we use those tools to track conversion if we are affiliates, since the selling page does not belong to us and we can't do anthing about it?

And how those tools can tell us that which conversion is from which affiliate link separately?

Oh trust me I've spent the past 10 days trying to figure out tracking setup and how it works. Everyone was a newbie at this at some point.

    Here's what I learned:

How the premium tracking software (and I assume Prosper and some others ) work. You create the tracking link via your tracking software so whenever anyone clicks on that link it records someone hit your landing page or went directly to the offer.

Now there is a code you put in your tracking software as well as your network CPA offer to track when a purchase/lead is made. It basically fires a conversion pixel back to both tracking software and CPA network when a sale or lead is created. Tracking software gets notified you got a lead/sale and records it, and CPA network makes sure you get credit and get paid . So there is a setup on the CPA Network as well as your Tracking setup. Each tracking solution and CPA Network is a little different on the formatting of this conversion pixel.

Stop wasting time. Just do it!

Many networks will allow affiliates to put a piece of tracking code on the landing page, it all depends on the network.
Do you know which network(s) you are thinking of using?

Another way to do this is if you cannot place a piece of tracking code is to just track via subid

Like others have said, contacting your AM would be your best choices or you could even place your conversion pixel in the networks global conversion pixel postback, if available.

you do have other ways of tracking conversions such as postback urls or could always upload subids to your tracker.
