A couple of questions on PPC (eg adwords, facebook) to promote clickbank products. 1) is it permissible for the ad to point to the hoplink (directly or via redirect), or must it go via a landing page on my site. 2) is there any advantage on sending PPC traffic to an intermediate landing page? IE, it seems to present another opportunity for visitors to leave the process, but can pre-selling increase the % going from ad to purchase? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't matter, because that's no way to make sales of CB products anyway, and nobody would want to buy traffic and not even try to retain some of it by collecting email addresses. That would be like trying to run the bath without first putting the plug in the hole. Almost nobody buys a CB product at their first visit to its sales page, and if you don't opt the visitors in somehow, their first visit will usually also be their last. This isn't a great plan, in other words.

But - to answer your question - "sometimes you can, sometimes you can't": it depends on the terms of service of the PPC service you're using. You can't with Google. You can with some others (but will typically have great difficulty making (m)any sales).

Yes. It might actually work, that way!

You get the chance to collect email addresses, build lists, do email marketing (don't try to sell ClickBank products without that!) and generally to pre-sell (essential).

Yes, and that's putting it mildly. Without pre-selling, the percentage purchasing might be 0% (really).

You need to read this thread (or at least this post in it): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

A question to ask yourself: if you could send traffic directly from a PPC ad to a hoplink and actually make sales that way, why would vendors be paying affiliates 50%-75% of the money, rather than just doing that themselves or employing a VA to do it for them???

Something else to know: in successful affiliate marketing, most of the long-term income comes from making repeated sales to the same captive audience who trust you and rely on the strength of your recommendations, but if you don't have their email addresses, you can't even try to do that because you didn't "capture" any of them in the first place.

It's always best to catch people's email address first, not just direct linking. The only way you can get good conversions that way is if you set up retargeting campaigns to drive the visitors back to the site so thye can buy then. As Alexa said, very few people buy from their first visit.

So the best thing you can do is set up a page to collect email addresses, give away something valuable that presells the main offer and then add a follow up to make the sales. This way you'll get the most chances of creating campaigns that will give you a positive ROI.

A capture page is always best so you can contact customers over a period of time. I agree with the above warriors, almost no one buys Click bank products on their first visit. Using an opt in page is essential to your long term success.

    Hey Johnny

Yes, I agree to using a landing page. This pre sells your offer, plus, you are building a list at the same time.

This way, you will be able to market similar products in the future to the same customers.

    Hope this helps!

Try to do the direct link with a landing page then you have the answer. A direct linking might work with cpa offer because there is no money reqd to pay by the end user, however when it's a offer that requires then end user to use their credit card; a direct linking can be a hard sell.
