Pay Per Click Advertiesement

By searching online jobs on Google, I came across many companies paying for just clicking on the ads, I worked for one (They paid me). I was thinking why they pay for just clicking on ads as user clicks on these ads just for earning money (they are not willing to buy anything from these sites) they just click, wait for sometime and then exit. Some said if you want to sell a product and advertising company will send traffic to your site (you can sell products to many people) but when I was working there were sites that do not have any products to sell and still I get paid for clicking on ad linking to those sites. I don't know much about Internet Marketing, I am Computer Engineer by profession. I want to know how these companies work?

    It's their sites. You click the ads. They get a percentage of the cost of the click incurred by the advertiser. They give you some of what they earn. Simple as that. Also not moral as advertisers and the ad networks are getting robbed. The ad networks will definitely stop feeding ads to such sites when found.

    Just pickup any software language that interest you.

    Desktop applications=>C#,vb.net,C#.net or anything that interests you.
    Webapplications=>ASP.net,PHP,Javascript.

    Your question is broad ,although here you can find each and every useful information about that just pick one method and search about that and don't be distracted with different methods.It is big term and their lots of ways.

      JohnnyRItes, I know Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, C/C++, Javascript , Android and some hardware languages, but I thought I can develop a website and ask people to click on ads. I was confused why companies pay to these advertisement sites (they get nothing) but only traffic and usually that company sends traffic from specific region (country).
