How to block advertisement categories in adsense?

I read some of the article said block some of the ads categories may help to increase CPC, but when i try to do that in my adsense account, i realize there is no option for me to choose for the advertisement categories while other have. What i have is only 'Advertiser URL' option, that's all! May i know what happen and why?

    You have to block low CPC ads. It will help to increase your adsense CPC and low advertiser will go in the bin and your adsense earnings will be absolutely doubled by blocking Low CPC advertisers.
