Hype or Fact
- ARTICLES |
Nowhere is this more prevalent then in IM (internet marketing), just Google Private Label Rights, Master Resale Rights, or Resale Rights and look at a few of the results. This is especially true when it comes to someone revealing a “new” technique that will bring you loads of traffic or $3000 in 3 days or… well you get the idea.
So how do you tell if it’s fact or hype? Ask yourself this question: If I knew what this person is about to reveal would I tell anyone? If it’s a limited resource or something that would play out fast odds are it is hype.
Why would I say that? Well if you found a gold mind would you tell anyone if you couldn’t protect it? Of course you wouldn’t, at least not until you got all the gold out of it, or at least the gold that was easy to get out. Once the easily extracted gold was gone then you may charge others an access fee to try their luck at gold mining.
Once in awhile a new product will come along that is real and you can usually tell if the person revealing the new techniques is promoting something that isn’t limited in resource, or at least isn’t competing with his products.
Don’t spend your time chasing after the next biggest thing, take what you have and make it work. Ask yourself is it hype or fact, then decide if it fits in with your current projects, don’t abandon them by chasing an endless stream of products and techniques.
