Search Engine Optimization For Bing
- ARTICLES |
Bing, which is made and maintained by the software giant Microsoft, is one such search engine that is gaining popularity among the internet users who wish to have alternatives to the more dominant ones.
However, for online marketers who want to use Bing for search engine
optimization, certain features have to be learned because of the differences that it has from Google or Yahoo.
The basic differences can be found in the algorithms and these are what the online marketers and other SEO service providers should grasp so that they can effectively take advantage of the features in Bing. Not recognizing these differences may still result in optimized items that could still be used in the said search engine but maximization may not be achieved.
One of the key points that should be remembered is that Bing greatly favors the use of keywords within the URL itself, which means that the web address should also be optimized for easy referencing by the search engine. Online marketers who emphasize catchy names for their websites may have to change their preferences if they are planning to engage in SEO through Bing.
Capitalized terms are very important for Bing and this should tell online marketers, webmasters and SEO service providers to sufficiently use proper nouns. However, they may also just creatively use capitalization for added emphasis on their web contents just as long as they stick to the rules regarding the overuse of terms and keywords to avoid spamming issues.
Nevertheless, here is one good news for SEO service providers: term rewriting is not a very important issue for Bing. Web content for example, that has too frequent keyword usage and considered as spammy by Yahoo or by Google, may still pass the standards of Bing.
As with other concerns in search engine optimization, Bing is not much different from the other two major search engines. Creating contents for the purpose of SEO using this engine, therefore, should not be very difficult.
However, it is wise for the online marketer and for the SEO service provider to keep track of any development that Bing introduces. It is very possible that, in an effort to introduce positive features to make itself more competitive, Microsoft may attempt to add more new advantages.
Although said changes may not be absolutely unique to those of the other search engines, it would always be wise to know these. This is a step that serves the online marketer and the SEO service providers' interest.
