A press release has a certain writing style. Before you write one, I suggest looking through a few newspaper articles to get a feel of the journalistic style. That is the kind of style you will want to follow for your press release.

You will then need to outline the objective of your press release. Is it for mind share purposes? To increase traffic? To inform people? Have a solid objective in mind before your write your press release. Next, you need to know who you are writing for. Are you writing for 20-30 year old women? Or adolesecent teens? You need to make these distinctions so as to differentiate your style a little to suit your target audience. This way, you can also cater your article to their wants and needs, and touch on their emotional desires. This brings out better responsiveness for your press release.

You do not to be Hemmingway to write a good press release, so keep your writing simple. Try to be as factual as possible, although you can include some emotional arguments if you feel it is suitable.
