4 Tips to Sell Kindle Books
- ARTICLES |
However while getting started with Kindle is not difficult we also want to make sure that we are maximizing our sales. Here you will learn four tips to help you sell even more Kindle Books.
Tip #1: Use the Google Keyword Tool
The google keyword tool can be invaluable for research when creating non fiction books. Firstly it will tell you if there is a market for your book so that you don't waste your time writing a book nobody wants to buy. Secondly it will provide you with good ideas for the title of the book using the language of the market. And thirdly once you have created your book and uploaded it you can target this keyword in the Google search results bringing even more traffic to your Amaxon page. Rememebr that long tail keywords are easier to rank and so you should consider these for the title of your book.
Tip #2: Use the Autosuggest Function on Amazon
When you type a phrase into the search bar inside Amazon the autosuggest will give you ideas as to what people are searching for. The autosuggestions are based on what people are looking for inside of Amazon and so these can give you a good idea of what kind of content to create. For example try typing "Improve" or "How to" into the search bar and then press space. Autosuggest will then tell you what kinds of things people want to learn how to do.
Tip #3: Create a Great Description
Your description is one of your best opportunities to sell your book. Remember the description is not a summary of your book; it is a sales page for your book. You want to tell your potential the reader the reason why they must read your book. To get an idea of how to write a good description take a look at the books in the best seller list in the main Amazon books section. You should look at the descriptions produced by established publishing houses as they have decades of experience in how to sell a book.
Tip #4: Get Reviews
The importance of social proof cannot be underestimated. You don't need a lot of reviews (although more is better) but you must have some. Try to get at least three reviews for your book before doing any other promotional work. You can find review swaps in the Kindle forums where you review someone else's book in exchange for them reviewing yours.
