Internet Marketing Advice For The New Beginner
- ARTICLES |
Backend customers will result in 80% of your total business sales. This is alot. So if you’re currently focusing on first time sales and initial customers… your priorities are in the wrong place.
And in today’s lesson, I would like to show you why. There’s a big chasm between the profits that you could make on the frontend, versus the sales that you can make on the backend. And if you don’t understand this chasm, your website may be in trouble.
Here’s the first reason why you should be focusing more on backend sales instead of frontend sales:
1) Make money for free
When you and sell to your existing customers, you don’t have to pay anyone to sell to them again. They’re your’s… they’ve bought from you already. So now their on your list to sell to over and over again. And the more that these people buy from you, the more money you will make. It’s simple logic.
This is how you can stay in business for a very long time (if not forever) despite all of the competition in your niche. Your competition may be focusing on initial sales only, but are totally ignoring the fact that they’re really losing money because they aren’t selling to their backend customers.
Don’t focus on them. This is how you can run laps around your competitors. When they go out of business, they will look at your business and wonder why you’re so successful and thriving. They won’t understand, and this is how you can beat out a major competitor, all while keeping your marketing costs low. Here’s another reason to focus on backend sales:
2) Conversion rates are outstanding
Your very best conversions will come from your backend customers. You will see conversion rates like 10%... 20%... or even 30% from your list. And this is all depending on how long you market to them. I personally like to market to my backend customers for 3 years before I give up on them.
But another way to truly boost your backend marketing conversion rates is with direct mail. Direct mail is simply the process of sending a letter or postcard to your customers, in the hopes that you can drive them back to your website to get another sale. This is powerful stuff, and is known to boost conversion rates big time.
Selling to your backend customers is something that you need to make a top priority. If you don’t, you’re missing out on a ton of sales and profits that could have been yours, but are now probably with a competitor of yours. You don’t want your competition to get ahead of you, so implement backend marketing today.
Good luck with marketing your website online.
