How does SEO work in this AI era?

As AI continues to transform how we search, create, and engage with content, the role of SEO is rapidly evolving. Is success still rooted in traditional factors like keywords and backlinks, or has the focus shifted toward deeper elements such as user intent, content relevance, and the influence of AI-driven algorithms?

SEO is still about providing value with relevant content and good user experience, even in the AI era. Focus on understanding user intent and creating helpful, engaging content; as AI evolves, these fundamentals remain key.

Do you think keywords and backlinks are still the main drivers, or are they just the basics now?

I think traditional factors like keywords and backlinks still play a role, but they're no longer enough on their own. Search engines have become much better at understanding context, intent, and overall content quality. AI is pushing SEO toward creating genuinely helpful, relevant experiences rather than just optimizing for rankings.

SEO in AI era works a bit differently than before; while the fundamentals like quality content, backlinks, and technical optimzation remain important.

Implement AEO and GEO in your business for better AI search results to impact the future.

SEO today is focused around ranking the highest for search results but its scope has broadened to explanations provided by chatbots to which some content gets flagged as authoritative. In order for the content to be structured properly, the content needs to be clear and authoritative for the AI to comprehend and site it. In other words, its not just about being ranked the highest, to be answer machine is the most reliable sources for good AI-era SEO.

Today, SEO has changed, and in the AI era, it still relies on quality, relevant content, high-quality backlinks, and strong technical optimization. However, the focus has shifted toward user intent, context, and high content relevance.

With AI-driven search, creating clear, authoritative, and well-structured content helps your site get featured in snippets and chatbot answers. It's less about keywords and more about providing real value that AI can understand and trust.

This also helps boost your ranking in search results.

SEO is still in demand and valuable. Even when you search something at Google, you will see the volume of search results. Like, try to search the Anime Slayer app and check their volume; it's still more than half a million. It means half a million people search for something. Why don't they search through AI? On the other hand, AI will help you to boost and save your time. If you ask for further examples, I can share details with you.

They are not only main driver, but if you have contextual link it will boost your site.

      You clearly explain everything. Thanks

I agree with most points. Keywords still help for SEO. Users always draw their focus from keywords. I think quality content and contextual links are most important for ranking.

The fundamentals remain the same, and it doesnt go any where. Ranking is important, yet it doesn't guarantee being cited in LLMs, There are techniques such as being added in those already good repo top 10 blogs about which is the best marketing agency and there is an entire discussion about that.

See, SEO nowadays isn't just about keywords and backlinks. The main thing is actually understanding what users want and giving them content that hits the mark. AI adds its own twists, but the core is the same: create content people actually need and want to read/watch/click. The old-school methods alone just don't cut it anymore.

    Hello dear;
it's just about adaptation, in two points:
-1- getting your website/app or internet blueprint citted by AI Engines.
-2- Driving traffic from AI Engines to your websites.
