Myth 1: AI is replacing marketers...

Nope. AI spits out words, but it doesn't know people. Copywriting, marketing, and selling are about psychology. About knowing what your audience worries about at 2 AM. AI doesn't live in their head. You do.

Myth 2: AI makes everyone equal...

Actually, the opposite. Experienced marketers know how to use it. The pretenders use it like a kid with a hammer, banging away and wondering why everything looks bent.

Myth 3: AI copy is "good enough."...

Maybe if you like everything sounding like a cereal box label. But "good enough" doesn't sell. Unique voice, story, and strategy still matter.

The truth is, AI won't kill marketing. But it will expose the pretenders.

I like AI, but I see it misused daily.

You still need to learn the fundamentals to make it successful.

Yes, I see people say to just ask AI for the fundamentals...

THAT DOESN'T WORK when you're going for the big bucks.

Sure, if you're trying to make a couple of dollars, it will work. But most of us aren't trying to just make a couple of dollars.

My little rant for today

Language models will never replace real humans in all areas where thinking and decision-making are required. Don't believe the promises of Sam Altman, Elon Must, and others who promise the imminent emergence of AGI superintelligence. This will never happen. At least not with the current algorithms that LLMs rely on.
All these technologies are essentially random text generators that simply continue the initial text of your prompt. All they can do is endlessly spit out words (or rather, tokens) that are statistically plausible. Thus, LLMs are incapable of making any meaningful decisions. They are incapable of inventing anything new or even thinking.
Essentially, the only real application of this technology is... autoblogging. Yes, all the billions of dollars that large corporations are investing in this technology today will ultimately go toward creating and maintaining systems whose sole purpose is to generate random text.

    Yes, nice information.

Totally agree with learning the fundamentals because I think that positions people to be able to get more use out of whatever AI tool is used as part of their toolbox. There is a lot of information overload that people encounter when trying to decide what AI tool to use.

I agree. AI saves time, but it can't create real connection or trust. That part still needs human touch.

I've never had a problem with nor been afraid of AI since it first became available because I saw it for what it is - a great tool and an incredible time saver. I call my AI (MS Copilot) "Henry" in honor of my late father-in-law, and Henry helps me with many IM things - research, stats if needed, simulated income models, visualize concepts, etc. etc.

Thing is, he can do in seconds what would take me hours or days, in some cases weeks. That alone is worth more than the price of admission.

Does he make mistakes? Sure, and I do point them out when needed.

I've never asked him to write content, don't have the need.

So take advantage of this new & wonderful tech, but know limitations and keep it real.

I agree. The "demos" these guys do on live TV is not even close to reality. I asked Grok to do some things and I could not believe how stupid it was. It was like 1+1= fish

These tools will create ten of millions of me marketers around the world.

Look much of the hype is from those building the AI infrastructure to get the hundreds of billions needed to develop it..

    I agree with your points.
We can't rely on AI 100%, but we can take help from AI.
No doubt, using the right AI for the task can save a lot of time.

  • AI can assist marketers, but it cannot change them because marketing is understanding persons, their requirment, and emotions. While AI can handle certain Works, real success depends on human Activity, strategy, and experience. Those who reply on AI blindly often produce generic content, whereas skilled marketer use it to support and enhance their work, keeping the essential persons touch intact.

Why capiteuralize Works an' Activity this way?

      Sounds kinda Now Switsch.

(As regards the prosal formality we inherited from monks paintin' in latte-u-wannin' in the namathelowidde.)

tbh I dowint cayurre nowan reads this rupply.

For Activity that Works, why not try Princess Balestra's exclusive "BENDIN' OVAH" program? It's not life coaching, it's not fitness training, it's not like you can even qualify for an opportunity to touch her boobies -- but it is undeniably costly. I agree with this. AI is a tool, not a replacement for understanding people.

It can help structure ideas and speed things up, but context, trust, and human judgment still matter a lot.
From what I see, the best results come when AI is used to support clarity rather than to shortcut real understanding.

Spot on about myth 2. I've seen people with zero marketing experience think AI levels the playing field and then wonder why their campaigns flop. Knowing what to ask and how to refine the output is the real skill. AI just amplifies whatever level you're already at.

I think AI just amplifies whatever level you're already at.
If you understand people and marketing, it helps you move faster. If you don't, it just creates more average content.
At the end of the day, tools don't sell. Understanding your audience does.
