How long does it take for a website to get ranked?

I've just created a website and filling it out with content.

I know it's early days and I'm not expecting 1000 visitors straight away.

Talking about from your experience how long did it take and what work did you do?

Can you recommend any SEO service I can use?

    it may take 3-5 months to getting rank if you do perfect SEO.do on page seo.when your on page SEO is complete then start creating backlinks.but do not create backlinks by software.if you do backlinks by software after few days google give you a penalty.

    To generate more traffic on your website you should follow some of the processes like you should do Directory Submission, Social Bookmarking, Search Engine Submission, Classified Submission Url and other link building activities. You need to create quality baclinks on high quality sites

    Since you have that link in your signature, it wouldn't be a huge problem for you to drive traffic from Facebook.
    Do that. If your website is link worthy, you'll get a lot of free backlinks from Facebook and other social media.
    That will be a good sign for Google.

    Well I just finished one, and in less then 30 days, were are ranking for some of my keywords and search phrase, so not bad, but it all depends on your niche, and keyword competition.

      Well I specialize in this stuff, so I do a whole lot, I can not list here what I do, but major SEO, Web design is built for rank, and content has about 1,000 words per page, and so far ruining 10 pages of content.

    Do on-page and off-page SEO first. Link building is very very important as that determines how many visitors you get. Try to spread your website over different platforms and then see like business listings, ad posting, web 2.0, social media sharing etc...

    It really depends on your competition. A site specializing in a weird topic, and a word such as "asodkfiknmesa" may be able to rank within a matter of a couple weeks, shortly after being indexed by Google. But if your word(s) are in common usage then you have an up hill battle, which may take months, if ever, to rank in the first few pages, let alone the top 3 positions of the first page.
