Best ways to get traffic to a free movie website

I believe there are actually good performing sites in this niche. I suggest you advertise your site on social media sites. Create Ads on the web to promote your site. You must also update your content regularly in order for your website to remain fresh and attractive to users since it is about movie downloads.

Ok thanks are far as monetization, I was thinking about pay per lead, Do you know if that's still working today?

Most posts I can see about this is 2013-2014ish

How else can you monetize this type of site

Pay per lead is actually beneficial for your website since you will have downloads and sign-ups. When it comes to conversion rates, pay per lead is better than pay per sale.

For me, I would target this on Arts & Entertainment since it is about movies.

You can add a comment feature on your site, where users can leave a comment. It will improve your content, engage users and get more traffic. I'm using heyoya.com, it also has a voice option and it's free.

Blackhat SEO and pop-ups or banners on other free movie websites would be good start. You could try sites like PopAds or PopCash. You could also try platforms like 50 On Red and Propel Media.

Free movie website is a good thing! You should advertise it for some time to find your first 100 for example visitors and then they'll tell about your website to your friends. You can do this using your Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and also ask some SEO guys to help you.
