How to make good Marketing Video ?

Use slideshow to create your videos with the help of powerpoint. Then play the slider & capture it using any screen capture software.

Why not add the part how it benefits you ? If you do not highlight how customers are benefitted from your product, you video might not get returns. Another part is comparing your product with your competitor. You can even add testimonials to your video or talk about those big brands which are using it.

Make sure you start with what the video is about. I know the title should cover it, but the beginning of the video should start with what it's about, followed by a problem, part of the solution and the product that has the entire solution.

If you can give them some free content from the product, without giving the product away for free, they are more trusting and more likely to buy.

Google for "ScreenCast O Matic". That is the best free video maker I have come across. It will do screen recording for you with your webcam picture in the right bottom corner (or where ever you want it to place). I normally create a power point presentation and keep speaking to explain the content.

Those questions are fine, but having a structure like that isn't necessary and can be a bit restrictive (it's fine for a college essay, for example, which is being marked robotically by examiners).

I would start with your message - are you trying to sell something? introduce your company? get people to visit your website? run your promotion? introduce a sale?

Once you have a message, you should have a good idea on what to say and how to say it (this is a creative process and can't be explained by rote).

Create script, for a video, which has a voiceover that explains your message, and a camera actions that shows what people sees. This will help you get your ideas and structure in place (it should flow naturally once you start)

Then create a storyboard - this is what you will use to guide you as you "shoot" the video.

Then film the video based on your storyboard. Add a soundtrack and voiceover (an actor reading your script).

Then comes the edit - add your sound track over the video and edit both to get it as tight as possible.

Then publish your video

By "marketing" video, I assume you me a video that intends to sell something?

If so, there's a number of formulas you can use. Here's just one...

BASIC 1-2 MINUTE INFOMERCIAL RECIPE - Many TV direct sales commercials use a similar formula, because it's tested and proven to work.

Introduce a problem
Really hammer away at the PAIN caused by the problem
Introduce a solution
Introduce yourself, service or product
State, borrow, and/or manufacture authority.
Provide social proof or testimonials
Reverse/remove the risk for the customer.
Tell how their problem will be solved
Call to action

Other than good content and video structure, good marketing video must be creative enough in order to capture the audience's attention and stand out from the crowd.

I suspect most responses haven't satifactorily addressed your question which was specifically about 'Brand' videos, but I found reading through the responses interesting and thought I would add one comment. When talking about the product I think it adds authenticity and encourages trust, if you include a mention of any downsides, or features which perhaps wouldn't suit some viewers. I guess this would only be true if it's a strong, quality, product for the target market, ie. for whom it's strengths outweigh any weaknesses..

Good marketing video must depict the purpose of the video and the style icons used in videos should be appealing and influencing. Videos should be edited properly to maintain continuity.

Make the video kind of a story telling with catchy tittle. Focus on how it benefits to people, Not more than 3 mins and make it mobile friendly.

Have you researched your target market, do you know what a typical day is like for your ideal customer/buyer/client, basically I am talking about creating an avatar.

Once you have done this the what how and why will be a lot easier. I would also consider outsourcing a sales script of some sort to a copywriter.

You have to think like your customer. Why would even they watch your marketing video? No one like to watch ads/commericals these days. You have to focus on 'them'..their problem, how your product is going to solve their problem,

No disrespect intended, but that structure is wrong in many ways.

First off, it's all about you. Why you do it. What you make. How it works.

Nowhere do I see anything about how the buyer will benefit, how their life will be different after using your products.

Think about this structure instead:

1. WHERE are they now? Be explicit, paint a picture of the problem/desire they have.
2. WHERE do they want to be? Again, be explicit, and paint a picture.
3. HERE'S the way to get there. Show why your product is the only obvious answer.

Although they get a bit heavy-handed, check out the ads for several popular kitchen gadgets. They start with a user trying to do something simple, like drain a pot of pasta. The user burns their hands on the pot, spills hot water, steams their eyebrows and then the colander tips the pasta into the sink. Frowns all around. Then the user uses the pasta pot with the built in strainer. She happily secures the cover and drains the pasta perfectly, smiling all the while. To hammer the point home, the first scene is often in black and white, while the smiling scene is vibrant color. Only then do they get into details and making an offer.

Focus on your prospects, not yourself. The info you put into your current model really doesn't matter until very late in the sales process, if at all.

In my experience the video doesn't have to be extremely polished, Some of my most "rustic" videos have done the best as viewers can see that you are "real" and this translates into them trusting you due to the genuineness you portray.

You can either create videos that feature you in person, or if you don't want to appear on the video you can find some great actors on Fiverr.com who will create them for you.

Alternatively if you have Camtasia and you want to market something software or internet based, then you can create recordings of your screen with voice over. These types of video can be very effective as a means of demonstrating a product that you use and are promoting.

A great marketing video will have an attention grabbing title - a hook to draw the viewers in.

Ultimately you need to give huge value to the viewer so that they feel compelled to buy or try from you, as they would follow up a recommendation from a trusted friend.

Try to ensure that the lighting and sound are of good quality otherwise the viewers are unlikely to watch the video to the end or click on anything you might include in the description box.

Your structure is more or less correct, but I normally start with the problem. You have this "Problem" (giving examples) and followed with your product narrating how it will solve the problem..

For Marketing Videos, make the videos in high quality, use proper keywords and tags in video description, your message should be simple and short, ensure proper lighting while preparing a video, write catchy titles and also include your website link in the description!

I suggest you need to study your target market first, in that way you will know how to catch their attention. There is no right or wrong within the series of you video as long as it will cover the whole information that the consumer needs to know. The most important part is to get all their attention so that they will be interested in your products.

Sometimes I've done question first then intro, all depends on what value you're sharing. You can then start using call to action cards etc.

This simple layout has help me.

Apart from all the technical advice and getting the equipment, audio etc the best advice might be to study who is winning when it comes to producing marketing videos.
