I am new to marketing and I am running the marketing division for a small B2B company. I am trying to generate more leads for our sales team and think that doing a product demonstration webinar would be ideal to get new leads. However, when I discuss it my team (sales) they believe that the webinar is a sales function and not marketing and that they need to be involved in every aspect of it (content, scheduling, moderation, etc.). I definitely want to include them in it but from everything I'm reading I see that is actually a marketing function. Am I wrong?
