    Speed certainly impacts earnings (and many other things), if it's too slow to load, visitors will just slam the back button and leave..

      Actually, Google just rolled out an new algorithm update 2 days ago that certainly DOES look at page speed. It does not boost pages that are faster but it does penalize pages that are exceptionally slow.

      Bottom Line: If your website is exceptionally slow, it could hurt you in the rankings, which may affect your traffic if you are relying on organic rankings. If most of your traffic comes from sources other than organic search, it won't really matter except to your users who very well may leave your site if the pages take too long to load.
