an improvement... when your post is in parts or a series, and you upload them the same day.. upload them in backwards order. instead of posting the 1st of 6 then the 2nd etc - post them the last one first, then the 5th then the 4th. by doing this as you scroll down your list of articles they will fall in order from top to bottom.

I thought it appeared that way when I checked, thank you for your feedback

Since I have just started this is default for free themes. I am planning to start with a paid them once I am a bit comfortable with the process. Thanks a lot for your advice

That helps. On it! Fantastic thanks

On the side as in a scroll?

Thank you Wankum, I plan on adding more pictures

This is a great question. I am currently writing a manuscript while I post in the blog. I am ultimately trying to make a presence before I post or publish the manuscript as a book.
And may be later I can allow ads for a bit of steady cash flow.

      Fantastic.
      Thanks a lot!

Thank you for your feedback. Will get nack to you if I need an SEO. For now my only concern is content and look of website. One thing at a time.

Some mentioned that getting your own domain is the top priority. When comes to blogging you want the brand recognition, shorter url, and something people can easily refer you as.

Monetization at this stage is fine but not recommended, normally it is advised to garner a solid viewrship first. But again, it won't hurt.

Your content is slightly abstract, more emotional and deep thinking. Those are great stuff but it hardly leads to sales generation from adsense or affiliates. How about adding in some topics to invoke different emotions. Examples, something that makes them want to share, question base topics and you provide some answers or help?

It might deviates from your original plan but it makes life easier when you are blogging about stuff that people are googling.

Else, you can simply make it more personal to put a punch to your blog, put your face up. Let them read about your real life thought process and experiences. (This one often build very solid super fans), it is also the best way to take the affiliation monetizing route.

Meaningless, in more ways than one. When you see a picture of someone on a website, do you automatically believe that that is actually a picture of that person? Really? Why would you believe that? It's the Internet.

What if you look like Quasimodo? How would a picture help?

These are like that ridiculous argument that you should always put your real name on your website in order to build trust. Possibly the single most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. How would you ever know if it's their real name, or a pen name.

You really need to think these things through.

Come on boy, dont come out so hard. Is it because I am starting out as a new user?

I didn't put up any arguments, just possible points that could help. Dont like it it's fine but no need to trashed it out in this manner, its a little uncivilized.

I say it out of personal experience. It worked out for me and why wouldn't I share? Do you need proof that a more personal branding helps to project trust with content?

Not everyone post fake photos, dont be bleak dude, check out neilpatel.com, i can give you more examples how personal brands have walk them very far. He sure don't look like brad Pitt. Looks has never been a requirement to blog, gosh who gave you that idea Anyway?

Somehow I missed this post, but I think I made my point, below.

I didn't put up any arguments, just possible points that could help. Dont like it it's fine but no need to trashed it out in this manner, its a little uncivilized.
Don't be so sensitive. No one trashed you. You need to learn how to handle opposing points of view without being so defensive,

I say it out of personal experience. It worked out for me and why wouldn't I share? Do you need proof that a more personal branding helps to project trust with content?
It's just not a concept I believe in. You're welcome to, but it's just an opinion. Yours is no more valid than anyone else's.

            Not everyone post fake photos,
My point was, not everyone posts REAL photos, so what trust does putting a photo on your website generate? None to me. It's meaningless. An exercise in nothingness.

            dont be bleak dude,
Bleak is your interpretation. That doesn't make it so. It's just reality, plain and simple. That said, reality can be bleak.

            check out neilpatel.com,
We are all aware on Mr. Patel. Have you met him in person? Is that really his picture? lol

You can count those people on two hands and have a couple of fingers left over.

He sure don't look like brad Pitt. Looks has never been a requirement to blog, gosh who gave you that idea Anyway?
Never had that thought in mind. Apparently you can't comprehend the point I was trying to make so I don't see where an additional effort would change things. It was a simple point. Don't overthink it.

Try to avoid coming out like a rusty nail , that is so old school trolling tactic.
Well, I'm very old school, but you can't accuse someone presenting an opposing point of view of trolling. That's what trolls do when they can't defend their position with intelligent discourse. You're not trolling me, are you?

And, your term "ridiculous" sounds ridiculous to me too. If you can prove other wise, i will bend, else you are just a ...
Apparently you think I'm trying to sell you on my position. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm just freely stating my position and you'll have to accept it as what I believe, regardless of how you view my opinion. Life's a bitch, that way!

If you have other opinions, do share so we can learn from the grumpy expert.
My opionions are shared freely throughout the forum. You can search for more of my bon mots, or you can put me on 'ignore.' Whatever floats your boat.

If bashing is what you do, i will ignore you soon enough. I believe in constructive criticisms, not a grunts playing punk.
I can't do anything about how you interpret my contributions to the thread. That's on you and it doesn't affect my life, one way or the other. I would never attempt to deny you your opinion of me, or what I post.

You should learn to do likewise.

            Cheers.
Try to live a happier life man, you deserve it.
You know nothing about me or my life except for what you have conjured-up in your mind. lol Trust me - I'm holding my own,

It makes me feel so much better seeing your reply. I cannot fathom what you have been through to be this pessimistic., especially in a forum where many journeys here inspired and created some of us. You can take it as hard as you want, be sceptical and hate the world.

It can be different though, i took a laughing stance until I took a closer look at your posts. Without sacarsm, you seems to have more downs than up and those up hasn't stick yet. That explains your passive aggressiveness and that petty attitude. It has kept me entertained though.

Finally, You have my sympathy. Keep going. Why do we need to stop? I am enjoying our exchange, You are like my new entertainment now. I particularly likes it that you took time to multiquote so many parts of my post to add in your comments that has absolutely no meaning at all.

              Let's keep playing.

                I'll need to invoice you.

                Finally, You have my sympathy.
My, you are smug, aren't you?

Keep going. Why do we need to stop?
Because I control the horizontal. I control the vertical.

I am enjoying our exchange, You are like my new entertainment now. I particularly likes it that you took time to multiquote so many parts of my post to add in your comments that has absolutely no meaning at all.
I agree that your posts that I quoted have no meaning at all, but if I don't talk to you, who will?

                Let's keep playing.
I wish I could, but I was taught by my parents that one should never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

Like I said, there are lots of my posts that you can gaze upon in awe, with a simple search. That's the best I can do for you.

You'll forgive me if I simply ignore you, going forward. Life is short and each moment needs to be spent wisely. Bantering with you doesn't meet that objective.

                Cheers.

I am truly enjoying your company. Before you i was pondering how to hit a few posts to start my path you have made that part easy. The intitial plans of using your grumpy correspondence to reach my post req worked and with bonus, you made it not only easy but entertaining. Kudos!
Hopefully I kept your day going for you too!

I have read your posts, awe is certainly not the word i would use but some of them rang the right bells. I have to give you that.

30% percent of them are worth pondering over but the rest of the 70% was you bantering into air. Sounding angry at newcomers posting threads. I know it's frustrating that some of them show little respect to IM, even to the community. But hey, isn't this the place where it got some of us better?

Dont move on, stay and keep me going with those "i ain't going give you a 6 bucks for quarter pounder burger" words. It is inspiring.

Maybe through all the noises, we could learn a thing from one another. Isn't that what make successful IMers rise above the rest. We walked to the end.

I think a few more to and fro will suffice for me to start my warrior path. I thank you in advance.

I hear that often, but I'm thinking that you should get yourself a love interest. I know that's difficult, living that nomadic lifestyle, crashing in a pup-tent in an never-ending stream of city parks, eating beanie-weenies in an can, cooked over Sterno, but still . . . . . I'm spoken for.

Before you i was pondering how to hit a few posts to start my path you have made that part easy. The initial plans of using your grumpy correspondence to reach my post req worked and with bonus, you made it not only easy but entertaining. Kudos!
I live to serve and to help those less fortunate than myself take steps to improve their lot in life.

Hopefully I kept your day going for you too!
Wishful, thinking. Contrary to popular belief, I actually have a life. Engaging with you did nothing to enhance it - but, this isn't about me. It's about making your life better. :-)

I have read your posts, awe is certainly not the word i would use
Your inability to recognize pure gold when you come across it is duly noted. This is something you can work on.

but some of them rang the right bells. I have to give you that.
It's my gift to the world. Well, that and my sunny disposition, both.

30% percent of them are worth pondering over
Damn, I don't know of a single person in IM or sales that wouldn't kill for a 30% success rate. You flatter me sir. And here I thought you didn't recognize greatness when you encountered it. My bad!!!

but the rest of the 70% was you bantering into air.
I am quite used to being a lone voice crying-out into the wilderness, having some of my best stuff falling on deaf ears. Still, I give and give and give. It's what I do.

Sounding angry at newcomers posting threads.
Again, I must take issue with how you perceive things. There is no anger involved. Frustration, annoyance and disbelief - yes - but never anger. Anger is a wasted emotion that sucks the life out of you. Not in my emotional repertoire.

                    I know it's frustrating
Ah, see??? You do get it.

that some of them show little respect to IM, even to the community.
Respect is earned - not owed!

But hey, isn't this the place where it got some of us better?
I guess you could call that the mission statement, but few new arrivals are interested in actually learning anything. If they ask a question and you don't supply them with the answer that they already believe, you get tremendous pushback and even insults. Why ask, if you don't want a truthful response, no matter how much it goes against your preconceived notions? That's where the annoyance and disbelief stems from. On top of that, I'm supposed to speak my mind in dulcet tones? Good luck with that.

Dont move on, stay and keep me going with those "i ain't going give you a 6 bucks for quarter pounder burger" words. It is inspiring.
Yes - that was a classic. I appreciate the recognition.

Maybe through all the noises, we could learn a thing from one another.
At the risk of sounding arrogant, which is OK if I do, at my age I'm not looking to learn anything new. My brain is stuffed with a lifetime of mostly useless crap that in the end, served no meaningful purpose, whatsoever. Just the jetsam of flotsam of daily life. Hopefully, I have mined the good stuff for all it was worth and I now spend my days working on purging the inordinate amount of inane drivel that I have been subjected to over the years from my bruised and scarred gray matter. At this point, if I can simply control my ability to pee and poop on cue, I've got the important stuff covered.

Isn't that what make successful IMers rise above the rest. We walked to the end.
I've been walking for a very long time. I'm at the end of the road - and my feet are killing me.

I think a few more to and fro will suffice for me to start my warrior path. I thank you in advance.
My pleasure, but that's all you're getting for free. Any more life and/or business coaching required by you, must be paid for.

There is no such thing as a 'free lunch.' PM me for payment details.

I'm not sure if it is possible with wordpress.com sites but if it is, you may want to sort out your links.

You should be able to change the link so it follows site name/postname, rather than sitename/date/postname. That will make you links look nicer and (I believe) will help with you rankings on search engines.

Aside from Giles' advice, you may also place a list of links to your previous posts so that it would be easier for the readers to backread.

The first thing I would say if you are serious about blogging or making money from it. I would ditch the wordpress.com blog. It is the first thing I say in my video on my 101 blogging tips videos series. Unless of course it is just a hobby. Then I would consider a paid hosting service, and some calls to action at the end of posts*that are monetised. :-)

Her and thousands of others. Anyone that goes into blogging to make money is not really serious about wanting to make money or has not taken the time to investigate the reality of making a living from blogging.

Most bloggers don't generate enough income on a daily basis to buy lunch.

Are there the rare exceptions? Of course - and twelve men have walked on the moon.

The sad truth is that many of the people that get into blogging actually believe that there is no easier way to make money than sitting at their keyboard in their undies while the rest of us poor slobs have to go out and actually work for a living.

      Good luck with that.

P.S. No - I will NOT give you $6 so you can buy a quarter-pounder meal. Get a real job or starve.

Blogging is the hardest way to earn, you got that so right. But, to say it's unlikely is just so dark. Are you suffering badly? You sound so tired and disappointed. Is that why you took it out my post?

Once again, would you believe me if I tell you I spend less than 1 hour a day over a community I accidently founded and my monthly passive income from it has made me comfortable living a digital nomad life?

Would that give you hope so you could be a nicer person online?

          I prefer the word, 'honest.'

          Are you suffering badly?
Yes, I'm getting ready to have a big bowl of dog food for lunch and then I am going to spend the rest of the day reading self-help blogs. What could be worse than that?

You sound so tired and disappointed. Is that why you took it out my post?
I am tired. Tired of posers and disappointed that their claims might affect the rational decisions of others who believe anything they read, because they are desperate to buy into the dream.

Once again, would you believe me if I tell you I spend less than 1 hour a day over a community I accidently founded and my monthly passive income from it has made me comfortable living a digital nomad life?
Honestly. No, I wouldn't believe you since we have quite a few people here who claim the same thing, not one of whom can back up their claims. If it is true, I'm happy for you. In fact, I wish you nothing but success and untold riches. You'll just have to accept my skepticism, bordering on cynicism.

Even if you are leading the life you claim, that is meaningless as it relates to others winding-up in the same situation as you. That's just reality, whether you consider that belief, 'dark' or not.

Would that give you hope so you could be a nicer person online?

          Cheers.

I guess you summed up what a person you are.

There is no more I can dig at you. Let's end it here. You are most welcome to continue with your attitude towards members. Do expect responses back from me in future if you ever decides on shoving that attitude on my posts. I gladly welcome you.

I am whatever you perceive me to be. Your perception and your opinion, regardless of your degree of accuracy. :-)

It's an open forum. You get to post and others get to respond. There is no requirement for agreement. Only civility. I believe I was civil. That's just the way it is.

Who is your audience and how will you find them? This is the hardest part of any blog or website.

Getting traffic requires knowing where you target audience is and how to reach them. This can be with paid ads or through Facebook groups, etc.

But if your market is a vague, "everyone" then you're going to have trouble.

Start by defining exactly who you want to read your blog.

You have a get in touch page. Who do you think is going to want to get in touch with you and why?

If your blog is purely for your own enjoyment then none of the above matters.

    Hey Urvi

Aha! My talent especial. Here ya go buddy:

    - Buy your domain and hosting and get on Wordpress dot org now. Free blogging platforms are a waste of time for someone like you who plans to monetize. Ownership of the blog, branding and monetizing potential and a huge support network make this move a no brainer.

    - write 500 words daily offline, in a Word document. Gain confidence and clarity in your writing.

    - invest money in an eBook or course on blogging. Work a job or do whatever - legally hehehehe - ya gotta do to *invest* in a blueprint that should take 2-3 years off of your learning curve.

    - publish 1-2 helpful posts weekly.

    - comment on blogs in your niche, creating 2-3 paragraph, thoughtful comments. Promote other bloggers on your blog and through social media. Make friends. As you practice writing and create content, these blogging buddies will promote you, endorse you and increase your traffic.

I dig your writing and left you a comment on a recent post. Keep up the good work.

Try to promote your blog in Instagram. It's a pretty popular playground. With the help of special services it is easy to promote. Usually IG bots are used. Such systems are not very expensive. So you can try.

The content is nice and consistent, the pictures used are all in the same tone which is not tricky to the eye. But, try to make a column for content organization so that visitors will just click on the hyperlink that will lead them to the page they are interested to read.

Given the OP hasn't been back to this thread in a month, we're just guessing about his intentions with the blog. It might just be a hobby or a vanity project.

Leaving aside the content, the options for monetizing it are severely limited unless he switches to a wordpress.org platform.

I'm guessing that there weren't any true intentions. Just a momentary stab at anything until another idea bubbled up that might have seemed an even easier path to riches than blogging.

I do apologize for my rank cynicism, but these posts are endless.

You have a good beginning, I think, just to attract more traffic you need to make more interesting content. Start browsing the content of other bloggers and learn from them. I believe in you. Good luck!
