There are probably at least a dozen ways to make money online and some suit people better than others. I prefer to dropship, but I have done affiliate marketing and also stocking and shipping of my own branded products.

The thing is, there is a large degree of truth behind most things that get labeled as scams. A lot of people who couldn't make money doing something are quick to label things as a scam simply because they did not have what it takes to do it, themselves. It's simple 80/20 rule stuff. 80% of people are going to fail and 20% are going to have some level of success.

Certainly, some courses do a far better job at explaining things than others but the only ones that I know are scams are the ones that promise things like "push button money making machine" or "earn thousands per week with little to no effort".

I think anyone who makes money online will tell you that it took a whole lot of real work to get to where they are. And, most of them likely tried many different ways until they found what suited them the best.

There is a whole lot of free information as well as free courses out there. I'd start looking at that. After all, it's hard to be labeled a scammer when the scam doesn't cost anything.

I'd focus on a niche I enjoyed working Hassan versus focusing on making money.

Yesterday I watched John Chow, Zac Johnson, Jeremy Schoemaker and Syed Balkhi speak. All 7-8 figure bloggers. All began blogging to have fun and help folks. Not to make money. Because money doesn't show up for months or even a year sometimes. But working an online business mainly for fun lays the foundation for steadily increasing profits, long term.

My suggestion is: watch all of their "ads" before making any decision.

While watching, you will go through these three mindsets:
Phase 1: you feel like you are going to be rich tomorrow.
Phase 2: you have realized the "pattern" of those ads.
Phase 3: you can recognized which one is the original, and which is not.

Then you will know how to check whether its real or not.

I can understand where are you coming from. Point is how do you define a scam. There are so many links I see that you can earn a lot, no investment required. If you believe that it is true then you are being naive and it may not be a scam. Before you dive into digital world, remember one thing, Nothing comes free. Internet marketing is like any other traditional business where some investment is required in the beginning. Advantage here is that investment required is much less than the traditional business. So suppose I say I am ready to become your mentor free of charge, you agree and then I say, subscribe to GetResponse because having an autoresponder is a must for digital marketing. Then you find it will be costing $15 per month! What will be your first reaction? Oh, you told its all free, why I need to pay. So, I will be termed as scammer!!! So, my request is that first you understand the overall concept before deciding what is a scam and what is an investment!!

You can do some research online and look for reviews in order to judge if it is a scam.

Do something that matters to you, something that you enjoy, something you have an interest in. That's the beauty of working online, you create your own job. Forget chasing other people's ideas, sure, read about them and learn from them, but do something for you. Keep at it, and when in doubt, keep at it harder and longer. In the end, if you love what you're doing, you find a way to provide value to some people and monetize it then you will eventually make the money you're after.

There are hundreds of ways to do this, my recommendation would be to read these forums and figure out a method that interests you, then do a deep dive to get more information around this

You have to do your research. Reviews, articles, BBB, how long have they been around. What are people saying on social media.

think about what credible companies are doing online and see if they are heading in that direction.

There will be tons of ideas thrown at you, and it's hard to tell a good idea from a bad idea.

Just remember that at its most basic, IM involves having a product or service of value (yours or someone else's), and a way to promote and sell it. Ideally, you want to educate yourself about those two basics.

Of course there are other questiins like HOW will you sell it, follow up with your customer, etc. But don't get lost along the way. Don't fall prey to push-button systems -- they don't exist.
