The only answer to that is "it depends".

Put yourself in your prospects' shoes. If the product you're promoting is a specialist one, would they expect to find it on a website that lists all kinds of disparate products, or would they be more likely to purchase from a dedicated, single topic site?

That's just one of the considerations, and not even the most important one.

I'd advise you to take some time reading through threads on affiliate marketing and combine that with other research. Get a clearer idea of what you want to do and, crucially, how you intend to get your offer(s) - whether they're on one site or several - in front of your target market.

Then come back with a more specific question.

I guess what your telling me is that if I'm going to promote something it would be best to dedicate one website to the niche and that product that I'm selling that goes with that niche.

That's one way. But there are lots of ways to promote affiliate products - some that don't even require a site. That's why I suggested you spend a little time researching the various affiliate marketing models and see if there's one method that resonates with you. The WF is a great resource, but you'll get the best out of it by asking informed questions.

          Good luck!

Everyone will have a different opinion. If you are just starting out, you can try just 1 generic site, then if you find a niche is working, then buy a domain for that specific niche.

Try it, see what works for you.

  • You should have different domain for different niche to make it more professional and domain is not expensive either.

If is the price of the domains you are concerned with, then just go to wordpress.com and set up a different site for FREE for each niche.

Nicmic1124, it is great to promote offers which correspont with the content of your website.
I do not recommend you to redirect users from your site to irrelevant offers` landings. In such a way you can lose trust of the users.

    Depends on your clarity Nicmic.

Most marketers struggle because they create a generic site selling all types of stuff because they *fear* losing money, and add niches and confusion through their fear, reflecting back to them as diminished sales.

A few IMers create generic sites from abundance and generosity, so their multi niches yield a tidy profit.

I'd go with multi sites; easier to get clearer and to prosper through this approach.

Definitely you should a domain for all your affiliate products you promoting. More professional and also try your best to get it as close as the product name too.

If you are branding yourself it could be a little different and once again depends on the product.
You can use: www.youname.com/buildyouremaillist as an example.

I would say if the niches are closely related you could get away with one but most of the time I would think you need to have one for each of the niches

I am in promoting money making affiliate products with the help of my blog. You can start off by creating a blog by posting fresh quality blog post content on a regular basis targeting the niche you want to promote your affiliate programs. You may even wish to write a few honest detailed reviews about the affiliate programs which you wish to promote on your blog. Hope this helps!

I would recommend that the site should be niche-centric. Imagine going to your local coffee shop and they offer you gardening fertilizer...they're not related. If you niche-down you should be fine.
