Starting with Introduction First

Hey there

It is rude to ask any question before introducing myself

It's Kamran from Future Learning based in Islamabad, Pakistan. I've recently embarked on the road of Entrepreneurship providing Software, Web and Mobile Solutions for Startups and SMEs. Before this I have over 15 years of work experience including last 7 years in ICT Product Management. I also mentor Technology Startups at National Incubation Center. Looking forward to contribute and collaborate with the fellow members here.

Now to my question? How does internet marketing works for B2B business models? My target market is businesses who need a technological support and not individuals. I have my team lined up and website up and running. Now to get hold of that first client is challenging. What should be my strategy to get clients for my services?

Thanks in advance guys

Are you open to buy paid traffic? If so, Facebook Ads or Bing Ads might be useful.

Yes I'm open to all options but does paid traffic suits B2B business model or is it more suitable for a consumer based product/service?

I'd be trying to hook up with businesses and individuals on LinkedIn and running ads there, as well.

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather people just ask questions and skip the whole "Hi, I am so-and-so and blah, blah, blah ..." stuff. Also, make sure the title of any thread you start is specific. They get a lot more attention than generic ones like "I have a question" or "Can you help me?" or "What am I doing wrong?"

I don't know why you waited until you had a team lined up and a website running before thinking about how to get clients, but anyway...

B2B clients, especially those managing sizeable budgets, usually need the security of recommendations or trusted references. In your position, I would make use of that 15 years' work experience and see whether any of my past contacts either needed my services or could at least refer me to other potential business clients.
